Another Link List Question

I've got a few questions about Link Lists -

The only adult site I run is on a freehost - and is a blog - but has lots of free content in each entry.

Now i know some link lists won't accept this and most won't accept freehosts.

Now I'm finding it difficult to find link lists to submit to -

I've got listed on a lot of small link-lists but the traffic gained is minimal to be honest.

My site, although traffic is increasing rapidly, cannot meet the traffic exchange needs of the larger link lists therefore very rarely get listed.

As you can guess I haven't dealt with link-lists too much in the past.

Is there a medium between the 2 I haven't found yet?

Is it just a case of working my way up the ladder?

Any help would be much appreciated

jjssite,
It's really hard to evaluate your situation with the info given. Do you have your own domain that is on a freehost? Do you make any sales?
You would do much better with your own hosting. One sale a month can easily cover that and put some money in your pocket. :)

Get off the free host and get your own hosting. You won't get anywhere with free sites if they're on a free host.

The problem is I am happy where it is at the moment - (no it is not my own domain - freehost subdomain, which I guess makes it more difficult)

At the moment around around 50 - 60% of my visitors visit my sponsors (no forced), and I'm converting about 1 in 400 on a good day to 1 in 1,500 on a bad - so all the sales and clickthroughs are there.

And as I said I don't want to move as I have spent a lot of time on SEO and it has been succesfull upto now.

Why not keep the site you got on the freehost and update it etc.. and use some of the money you make to buy hosting and a domain and start new sites?

That's a good idea because if you're serious about this business, you must get paid hosting and your own domains.

Excellent suggestion |thumb

You won't get anywhere with link lists on a free host.

Well, judging from your first post, you don't seem THAT happy...

Domains and hosting are cheap... Buy one domain and get yourself some $15-20 virtual hosting plan. You can upgrade when you get yourself some sales and traffic.

There are a lot of people who wouldn't do business with you just because you're on free hosting. Most of those people are the ones YOU would love to do business with.

Think of it as strategic business investment.
