Can't add my blogs to Technorati
 

I made a technorati profile and added 3 blogs to it succesfully. But 2 of my blogs just can't seem to get claimed, when I try to claim let's say http://www.pornomagnet.com I always get this error: "There was a problem claiming your blog. Please try again in a few minutes. You can also go to Technorati Help >> for help claiming your blog."

I searched the help but didn't find anything useful.

Does anyone knows what could cause this?

I had the same problem with two of mine. 1 I had deleted because it wasn't updating at Technorati's end. Then, when I tried to claim it again, I got the same error as you.

I was submitting about 10 support requests a day (by refreshing the page after sending the form and saying 'yes' to resubmiting form data) in the hope that 1 in 10 would get read that day. |banghead| I still had to wait 2 months for the problem to be rectified.

Lately, they have been much better. The last two problems being sorted in 11 hours max! (With an apology for the delay!) |headbang|

Anyway, |yawn| to answer your question... assuming you have checked that your feeds validate, fill in the form on the support page.
Copy and paste the error exactly, and make sure you mention the domain the problem is on. Submit seperate forms for each domain.
Janice should get back to you within 24 hours; telling you she has found the problem in the database and corrected it.

That has been my experience twice in the past two weeks :)

There, I submitted the form, let's see what'll happen now.

Fonz I think adding my photo to my profile got me listed as a featured blogger, I've gotten a little traffic from it.
I've got learning more about Technorati almost at the top of my to do list and no one can accuse me of rushing into anything, I've been registered there since September 2003 |huh

You know your photo is showing up on technorati all day already as #1 in the section "members with recently claimed blogs" :)
I added a blog and I'm not up there, how did you do that? :D

did the profile thing added the photo a couple days latter a couple days latter it showed up
rssxxxfeed is ranked at 73,681 maybe that helped
been registered since Sept 7 2003 maybe that helped

I've contacted them 3 times about the claming problem, bastards won't answer me :(
Ah well...

I've never been able to get any response from their support team either. Luckily, it only affects one of my blogs.
