Gov. Schwarzenegger signed landmark global warming legislation Wednesday making California the first state in the country to impose caps on greenhouse gas emissions.

Even though I'm a hippy and he's a Republican I still like him. |thumb

Especially the way he put his own initiatives up for the vote by the general population.

I've often wondered if our democracy could be better if politicians were responsible for writing laws, and the public was responsible for voting them into action. Maybe then they'd be more accountable for how they deal with the issues and not what platforms they do/don't support.

... anyway... having a Gaia friendly governator is good. :D
