Anyone know what's going on at FreePicsSex? I got an acceptance e-mail for a site I submitted over a year ago |huh

yep, big backlog but nice traffic, that's why I keep subbing ;)

I love the idea of a traffic boost from older freesites I've submitted, so I keep submitting there too!

LOL I didn't want to say anything but the acceptance e-mail was for a site I didn't remember. I checked my server and the site was uploaded July 5, 2005...

Yep, I've received some acceptance mails for sites submitted well over a year ago. He does have a huge backlog...

But, as Ponygirl and Gary mentioned...the traffic is solid when it comes and it's a nice bump to old sites. Certainly well worth submitting imho |thumb

Spiffy |headbang| !!! Just when you think your freesite can't make you any more $$$ ...along comes that acceptance letter and FPS truely GOLDEN traffic and wham you are back in the bucks.

I suppose that all depends on the sponsor site.

I do know that I frequently pick up sales on old free sites in the days following those long delayed acceptance mails. Sure the sales could have some from another source.

But as a counterpoint to your statement, those sales could also be from that fresh infusion of traffic...seeing a site that maybe hasn't been promoted in a while.

I figure a promoted site could lose it's freshness but could also grow and offer much more to the surfer than when you originally built the freesite.
I have to remember to be careful regarding advertising special sponsor promotions on freesites.
For example I built quite a few freesites promoting I'm Live when they were giving away 2 free minutes of video chat with every new membership. When that offer stopped my freesites were lying to the surfer which must be a bad thing. I had to go back and change a load of ads which was rather unpleasant. I think I missed a few actually....must check sometime.

I'm with the others on this, that "late" traffic is very nice.
Sultan's Porn is anothr LL that's a bit behind, but getting those acceptance emails four or five months later and seeing the traffic is great!

If you're concerned about that, just change the sponsor. I don't delete sites for that. Of course you'd have to consider the other sites in your recip table, but most link lists don't ban for site changes as long as the sites still follows the rules.
