I'm back, new pc up and running

After all morning and afternoon, I finally have everything installed and running that I had on the laptop, I hope. A little hard to get used to a 22 inch monitor :)

great stuff. I'm using an alternative tower at this time, my other PC needs a new power supply, this one is a bit slow but the main thing is it's stable and at least allows me to get my work done until I get around to a hardware store.

I need a new laptop. my monitor is a bit screwed up. And my pc's powersupply is broken. So i don't have any stable computers left.

Really, it's that I no longer ever squint. And thank god I found the brightness control this morning. :)

Just one thing I forgot when I ordered this...speakers. I don't care too much what they sound like but I do need sound. I think I have a set stuck away someplace :)

I had my laptop and pc running for no more than 10 mins before the laptop just died. Fortunately, I did get up early and got everything important transfered from the laptop to my home server.

The more I look at this thing, the more I amazed by the price. It has hot swappable HDs...2@250 Gig and I found an empty bay called Personal Media Drive Bay that is setup for yet another HD. And, it has FM radio :) Duel DVD/CD Writers...one with LightScribe.

I think I may buy another for my wife and call it an anniversary gift sometime this week. But hook it up to our TV downstairs. That is what it was really built for. It would replace the DVRs, DVD Players and still go online :) It has a remote that looks like a regular cable remote except for one extra button to launch Windows.

Yeah, when I got my first large screen(23") I found myself turning my head from one side to other to focus.
