I grew up in the suburbs of Detroit. The Tigers were the first professional sporting event I ever saw. I think I was in the 5th grade for '84. I've got a big soft spot on my heart of the Tigers! Detroit could really use something positive like this.

This house also will be cheering for Detroit |thumb My nephew who passed away a few months ago was a huge Tigers fan. Several of the players were good friends of his, a couple of them were at his funeral. They told his brother that they want to have something before the game in remembrance of Pat.
