How many Design Templates?

How many design templates does one need to have on hand? I've noticed some of the LLs say they don't want the same templates day in and day out but there are no guidelines. If you have a decent design is not changing colors, banners and content enough? |confused|

IMO It's good to have 5-10 templates for every niche.. They don't have to be masterpieces - just header, adblocks and possibly graphic buttons(enter, gal1...) :D

If you submit daily you should have at least 30.
One for each day of the month.

There are enough reviewers who don't think so to make it worth your while to create templates that are actually unique.

But changing colors/banners/content is a good way to give existing templates a tiny splash of unique flavor. It's like a new coat of paint on an old house: it's still the same old house, but now it smells like new paint! |bananna|
