Trying times these past few weeks .....

Who would have thought that a simple knee surgery would have almost cost my hubby his leg; and even his life. |shocking|

I won't bore you with all the details; but I will give you a short version. Hospitals make mistakes. We have all been told to beware ......

Simply put, unsterile instruments were used in his surgery to simply scrape some of the bone smooth behind his right kneecap. Should have been quick and easy. The infection was so bad, it looked like he may lose his leg for a while there. I'm happy to say that it is stable now, and all looks to be okay.

Looking very forward to getting back into the swing of things, now that I am back home with him again. We have a bit of catching up to do, but using a laptop, Mark did keep things up to date on our site.

Sales have been really good which is nice to see. All of the promised custom promo content will be shipped out to those of you who requested it; by the end of this week. My new HD site SexyMilfSwinger.com has surpassed where we thought it would be at this point, in just a couple of months; despite the fact that it is very under promoted still.

Now tonight after things wind down, I have some reading and catching up to do with this board! |thumb

I feel for ya. I fell off the roof of my house 3 years ago and shattered my heel bone. A surgeon operated and put in 2 little plates and 11 screws to hold the bone fragments in place. It got infected and drugs didn't work so he operated again and took out the hardware. During that surgery another doc put a catheter in my chest. I went back to the hospital every day for NINE weeks and got a bag of levaquin dripped in. The infection in the tissue cleared up but the wound still wouldn't heal. They did an MRI and found the BONE was infected. He operated a third time to scrape out the infected bone, but didn't get it all. I have a slit on the side of my foot that is draining a tiny amount of gunk constantly. Now that I'm on disability and have Medicare I can find another sawbones and see if he can get me fixed up.

Hope your guy gets over his mess soon.

Glad to hear things are finally on the mend. I've done my share of time in the hospital. Dorothy and Toto aren't the only ones that believe that... "There is no place like home."

That's terrible...very sorry to hear Lorsha :(

My ex had a 'minor' back surgery several years ago...ended up with a staph infection on her spine. Two more major surgeries...two years...and a lot of rehab later, she was fine again.

All the best to Mark...hang in there big guy |thumb

Hospitals suck lorsha. When my mother was sick, she had a blood clot go from her leg into one of her lungs. Her doctor decided to put filter/umbrella thing in her leg that would catch any other clots. The day it was supposed to be done, they decided not to. After asking enough questions, I found out that the doctor that was supposed to do it took the day off. The next day, she had another blood clot go into her lungs and died. I was in the process of suing them when I decided, screw it...I just need to move on.

Glad to see that your husband made it through the "best healthcare system in the world". :)

Glad to hear all is well now. Another scary hospital story... but at least this one ends on happy note. Take care!
