video screencaptures as content? attn: linklist owners
 

Hey guys,

I'm fairly new to the creating freesite business,(making sites with distantdoor.com) and things are going alright for my first month. Thought i'd introduce myself and ask a question...

Anyway, I've noticed many LL's rules that state they do not want video screen captures on freesites as content. I'm wondering is there a line that is crossed between good video screen captures and bad ones. I'm promoting a site that has very good sized (750px wide) and quality video screencaptures that I personally think work very well as content, and I actually enjoy looking at aswell. I like this content more than some other generic content. As a porn viewer, I would not come to a site that contains these captures and say 'this content is bad i'm not happy'...

Anyway, just wondering if you guys look at the site and determine if "yes, these are good enough screen captures, I will list it" or "no, we don't list any screen captures no matter what"

IMO, if you are submitting to a site that does allow captures they better be the clean type that you are mentioning.

If you are submitting to a site that doesn't allow captures, then don't bother, regardless of how clean they are.

First off, Welcome to the board :)

Second, as Preacher stated, those LLs that have n their rules 'no vidcaps' mean exactly that, those that don't will generally accept good quality caps, although you may find that is subjective between yourself and the various reviewers.

I'm not going to comment on what others do because I just don't know as I don't build freesites, but as for me it's all about the quality, screencaps or otherwise.

I'll take screencaps if they're really good. My rules are more against crappy pics in general than vidcaps. I think most people just got fed up with those really blurry elbow pics :D
