Broadway

Anyone know the best way to get some tickets to a broadway show?

Hi Murray...

It would really depend on what show and when. If it is a show that has been running for some time and you aren't picky about your seating, or you don't particularly care which show you'd like to see, you can wait until the day of show and go to the TKTS booth at 46th street kiosk. They sell day of show tickets and you can get 3 row orchestra or nose bleed for 1/2 price.

If you have some time and wanted a secure option, then you might try Broadway.com
Unless you go to the box office in person, most all services charge a fee.

and when you are there, give my regards |thumb

I was in New York in August and my wife and daughter went to a broadway show, Hairspray. They got the tickets right in the hotel itself. Most of the hotels in Times Square have ticket counters and they'll sell you tickets no problem. There is also a ticket booth in Times Square (46th and 7th I believe) as Fonz and docholly said where you can pick up tickets but the lines are long. You're better off getting them in a hotel.

EDIT: In case you're not staying in Times Square we stayed at the Westin at 43rd and 8th and when you go in you go up the escalator and there to the far right is the ticket counter for getting tickets.
