Zango reaches settlement with FTC

Adware manufacturer Zango has reached an agreement with the Federal Trade Commission in response to charges that it breached federal law by deceptively installing advertising software on consumers' PCs without a clear means of removal.

That's only 7.5% of their monthly income - a drop in the bucket :(

God dam I need to become a scumbag somehow for just 1 month and then just run away to a sunny island.

The order in the document is the important part...not the money.

Indeed it is...the money is barely a slap on the wrist for them.

But, and I never thougth I'd be so cynical as to think this way...BUT, the cocksuckers will find a way around it |banghead|

They might and there are a lot of others out there but, this is the first time the FTC has discribed how these scumbags and future scumbags can do business. And it is no where as easy as it was. The money is nothing but with them being forced to follow the rules, their business will suffer.

Oh yeah, the FTC is accepting comments before this becomes final. I am going to find out what we have to do to make these comments and if there is a way, we will setup a quick form to use.
