Saddam Hussein To Hang

Looks like the judges who lived through the trial came to a decision...

yeah! kill this motherfucker!

SirMoby 2006-11-05 08:53 AM

He still needs to stand trial for additional crimes. He was convicted for killing less then 150 Iraqi citizens which is less then are dieing every day now. If they hang him now then Dubya is going to really look like a murderer. They need to convict him of genocide to make his crimes look worse then what's happening now.

hmmm perhaps this is the "November" surprise that has been predicted and why Rove seemed so confident of a continued Republican dominated DC.

*singing*... remember remember the 5th of November.

Torn Rose 2006-11-05 09:23 AM

wow 2 days prior to elections.... what are the odds?

I agree that it does seem too much of a coincidence but I think Republicans think we care too much about what happens to Saddam. I mean, I really don't give a rat's ass if he is put to death or not.

Cleo 2006-11-05 09:59 AM

It's kind of like when I was in the hospital once and the woman in the bed next to me was screaming in pain most of the night making all kinds of noise keeping me awake and then she died. The staff came in and asked if I wanted a different woman since I was now sleeping in a room with a dead woman. I told them I was fine were I was since now the room would be nice and quiet.

Yeah just kill him so that we don't have to listen to all of it anymore.

Jim 2006-11-05 11:19 AM

You can almost see the strings from Washington to this Court and it's ruling. :) Who didn't know the outcome of the trial before it even started?

This isn't worthy of Rove. It's too little too late and certainly not his style. He's far more aggressive then this. Of course that's all Fox News will be talking about for the next 48 hours but it won't make a difference.

My guess has always been either that the Urosevich brothers will decide the vote or the reps really seem like they want to hand over some control since the economy is about to collapse. They need to blame someone because we have to put the breaks on over spending, something has to happen with Iraq and foreclosures are coming to America in a big way.

They can always blame Clinton. |thumb

Id be real surprised if they hang him - like was mentioned he still has to stand trial for other crimes, and he gets an appeal that can take as long as necessary - after a conviction on appeal then they could hang him but what would be the point - they'll need him to restore order after his followers go on a rampage for the next week or so

although this was supposed to have happened two weeks ago - the judges delayed it till today - the only way it could become any kind of "surprise" is if Bush is stupid enough to go on TV either tonight or tomorrow night for a speech - but during a football game both nights would be his Heidi moment and wouldnt play well with the fans so I think theyve given up on the surprise idea - kinda helps to have machines already programmed with the winners :)

I hope that only just so many elections can be stolen before people wake up. This is the reason Republicans and I agree on one thing. People have the right to bare arms for just such an occasion.

When it comes to the elections, Republicans will get their edge on gay marriage concerns. I have a friend who works for a Republican senator (don't ask, it's as if he's intelligent in every other way... he even loves porn... then again they probably all do... anyway...) and he said that's what'll get people to the booths, so they're lumping as much as possible. I suppose a to-be-dead Saddam doesn't hurt, though.

Now if we can only get the Democrats to stop trying to get me to register my firearms. Shit if I get the license to buy it why register it? Hum, maybe so the local police and fbi will know if they need to wear body armor when they come to my house to take my gun. After they turn the country into a worse police state then it already is.

I don't agree with capital punishment.

He wants to die so he can be a hero in the eyes of Islam. So why allow him to attain status as a martyr?

Keep the evil bastard alive.

Thats an interesting point, but isn't it the iraq gov thats executing him? And would the people of Islam see it that way?

The hard line Islamic fundamentalists see the Iraqi government as puppets of the USA.

Fonz 2006-11-07 04:46 PM

Yup, almost all European countries are against the death penalty. The Russians even stated it would only divide the country more if he was excecuted. Remember there are still a lot of Iraq people that are Saddam followers. I think I must agree with the russians this time...
