Mirroring sites and LL recip tables
 

So I've been reading the older threads on here, and researching. It seems lots of serious webmasters, if you want to maximize your work, you submit to 60-100 Link lists, or 200 even, so that means 10 to 20 different mirror pages.

I guess my question is, how do you determine what Link List should be on each recip table? Obviously the number one table would have all the largest guys on it. Then how do you seperate all the others? Do you base it on their size, and if so how do you determine the pecking order. What do you do about sites that say they want to be on the big guys recip table (seen plenty that have that on their rules!!!), do you just not submit to them? Seems a waste.

And organising 20 different mirror pages, I know your not allowed to have index1, index2 etc. Do you link lists mind having numbered directories, as long as there is one index in there? How do you guys that have heaps of different mirrors work it out so the link lists are happy?

I've said it before and I'll say it again...

Group recips however you like and if someone complains about their positioning yank them from your tables completely because they obviously have their priorities out of order.

Some will tell you to check your stats and regroup by traffic, I say that's wasted time that could be better spent building another site.

But that's just one Preacher's opinion.

Ofcourse I want Smilingpussylinks to show up next to LOR, Tommys, DD, Penisbot and other big ones but don't we all want that? :)

As for directories, you can do something like this:

http://www.yoursite.com/your-freesite/ <- recip table 1
http://www.yoursite.com/your-freesite/keyword2/ <- recip table 2
http://www.yoursite.com/your-freesite/keyword3/ <- recip table 3

Just copy all your html files to those folders, you can keep your pics in one directory.

That's how I structure my free sites. After a lot of trial and error, it seems to work the best for me. I also second what Preacher said about recips. |thumb

I agree with Preacher too, but sometimes I get so annoyed by recips stuffed with extra links I've declined a borderline submission. |loony|

Also, IMO, it is nice to be in a table that's been shuffled around, rather then being grouped with the same lists every time. :)

With mirrors, I've done this too:

domain.com/keyword-title-combo/index.html
domain.com/keyword_title-combo/index.html
domain.com/keyword-title_combo/index.html
domain.com/keywordtitlecombo/index.html
domain.com/keyword-titlecombo/index.html
domain.com/keywordtitle_combo/index.html

Thanks a lot for the input guys, I shall not worry about it too much then, except the obvious huge sites! What I have done is create a database with how many back links each one has, and I have put them on the recips table accordingly to backlinks size!, what do you think of that idea? Something different anyhow! Does anyone know how do get a pass at tommys or Danger Dave? (cept waiting on here until Tommy releases more passes!!)
