:) Jim not bitter at all, just frustrated. I’m not upset that Don is leaving; he did what needed to be done. He changed the military. I did not like that the guy was really unwilling to listen to the military. Reading this stuff does get under my skin a little as I am a republican and do not flop to the other side when things are bad. I remember the 2nd term of Clinton people hated the guy. You could not turn on the TV or read a news paper where he was not doing something fucked up. He did two incredible things really. 1) Balance the budget (which was amazing and my hat off to him) 2) got elected for a 2nd term which is unheard of for a democrat. It’s unheard of for a reason. The democrat before Clinton claimed he was attacked by a rabbit while on a small fishing boat and he saw UFO’s. The one before that did nothing. He signed in tax reforms and the country still plummeted into a recession and the worse gas crisis of all time. So bad, that the entire City of NY claimed bankruptcy. And I’m sure people here will blame that on the war in Nam but remember something about that (STARTED BY A DEMOCRAT AND KEPT WAGING BY A DEMOCRAT). I'm very patriotic and because of that it starts to drive me nuts when day after day I read people complain when I know, not 100% sure but pretty sure from reading the time stamps on their posts that they do not vote or try and change anything. I vote, I vote whenever I can and make no changes to my day that will affect it. Everyone who knows me knows I'm hardcore for change, most important is in government. I think an administration that stays in office too long causes more harm then good. I don't think there should ever be a 2nd term, 4 years and your out. Another thing that drives me nuts is this Clinton hugging. Shit the guy approved Iranian Arms Transfers that helped turn Bosnia into Islamic militant society. If anyone here thinks he did not have a hand in any of the killing there then your wrong. He is the reason American businesses are looking overseas for workers. Not the republicans. Republicans do business along with running the country; Democrats do nonsense under the blanket of “It’s best for the people.” Money is best for the person, that’s all. Like I said before it's not the party, it's the people of this country who are ruining it. People can think things are fixed and nothing can change but tell that to the ones who started it. I'm sure many felt the same way back then, the only thing really different is the technology but yet they still did it. Democrat or Republican, both have sent soldiers to war. One of the most beloved presidents ever in this country sent 18k worth of Special Forces to Viet Nam to help stabilize the south. That was the start of it. Where did that get us? More people died in 1 day in that war then this wars entire timeframe to include the first one. The only way things can change because they are so fucked up now, is for people to educate themselves and their kids to include politics as a major top 3 MUST involve. You must learn about your local leaders and what they stand for, what have they done in the past and what they intend to do. Only then over a few generations can this whole mess be cleaned up. It’s not about the man or woman being an elephant or donkey.
Sorry for the book, just got up, time for coffee..
