Possible Server Problem
I changed servers yesterday afternoon and it seems some of my SSI calls aren't working. Some are, some aren't which doesn't make any sense but I've contacted Support and waiting on their response. Sites on best-wet-pussy.com are the main ones affected.

This is very strange. On some sites the SSI is working fine, on others it's not. Tech support is looking into it and says everything is OK. Do my recip tables show up on these sites?:

I only see recips on the last one. Changing servers can be a bitch, good luck sorting it out.
|
This is killin' me. I see recips on the second and not the 1st and 3rd...|crazy|
|
I see no recips on any of em :(
Know I've run across this before...trying to recall what caused it... Perhaps an htaccess issue with the domain? If includes aren't set up in htaccess, it will cause problems. Good luck on the fix...moving servers is almost never seemless |banghead
check your htaccess, make sure your domains are able to use ssi
AddType text/html .shtml |

I'll check my htaccess but what's so puzzling is that Lemmy, you and I all see different things...|huh |crazy
Why two of you are seeing different things

From what I know - htaccess files do not transfer.
Next up - All your cgi files will need to be reset cmod. Folder permissions will need to be checked and cmod if being used for scripts It's not that simple to change hosts. |
Now that we're talking about .htaccess that rings a bell with me. I had similar problems when I changed hosts recently. Includes was set up in my .htaccess, but apparently different apache configurations require it to be set of differently for everything to work properly. Thankfully I'm hosted with God so it was sorted out rather quickly.

Tech support said: It appears that the file being referenced by the SSI include does not
actually exist on the filesystem. It is possible that owernship problems with the file at your old host prevented the file from being ftp'd over. I don't know how there could be ownership problems, they're MINE. But, since I have copies I can re-upload the missing files...Oh joy. |
WOOHOOO! I don't know what the techie guy did but it seems that all my SSI's are working. |bananna| :D |boobies|

Thanks....dammit, grumbmle, bitch, moan, groan....
Tech guy told me: "It appears your ISP at home has this cached and you are still loading your content off your old provider. This should resolve itself in the next 24 hours" Hopefully everything will straighten out by tomorrow. |bow
Tech guy told me to "ping" my domain to make sure my sites are being served off their server. They are but some pages may still be cached on the old server. Another day should clear it all up.
I noticed that the text on my sites and link lists I submit to was smaller than normal. I asked him if there was any way using a new server could cause this ( I didn't think so because it's a browser function but I had to ask) He said if my mouse has a wheel, which it does, if you hold down the Ctrl key and spin the wheel, the font size on the page you're viewing will change. I use the wheel when working on the source code of a page to quickly scroll down to the work area. Evidently I had the Ctrl key held down when I rolled the wheel so the font size changed. Something new learned today. |
