Nightmare submissions
 

Having gone through the first few weeks of receiving submissions for my new LL, I've got to say that I can understand already why some LL's go Partner Only. What a load of dross is out there! Not all of course. I've received some great sites, not least from members of this board.
My first reaction when I got a site submitted was at first to be pathetically grateful and accept anything. I've toughened up now though - I don't want to end up with a site full of crappy, cheap links.

So I'm now rejecting a high percentage of my subs.
The main problems are so basic - people submitting a gallery, not a free site and no recips or just my recip on its own. I'm sure I've only scratched the surface of the crap out there. Any other LL got a nightmare submission story to share? :D

I have a guy that has submitted a hentai gallery every day religiously since the opening one of my linklists. I do not list hentai nor galleries. |loony|

Don't be afraid to say no to free-sites you don't like. If you accept something you are not happy about now, down the road when you say no to that same submitter it can cause nothing but bad drama. |catfight|

My wish is to be ll reviwer couple of days just to see what crap ppl submit to LL lol

Haha Preacher... I think I have the same guy submitting that gallery to me all the time and I keep rejecting it, can't even be bothered to send him mails anymore

What category does the hentai guy submit it to then?
First I thought, yeh, what a dumb ass for doing that to your link lists, then I thought, shit, the other day, I only just read the rules to a LL that I submit to and it said they didnt accept a certain sponsor, and sure enough thats the one I've been submitting. So I guess there are a lot of dumbasses out there, but it is friggin hard to read 400 LL rules (for those that sub to that many). You have to generalise a little bit, and my general rule of thumb is if the site is good on GG then it should be good on most LL, but of course, not always the case!! SO I have all my main rules that I follow and try to maintain sites that are pretty good overall I spose :D (least thats what I try)

My favorite are those who build a freesite, stick my recip in with a bunch of their own sites, and then swap out the one true recip with another list's - it's like they never considered reviewers might talk to each other or review multiple lists and catch on. |loony|

The general form spamming is bothersome too, but understandable.
