How much promo content, and how often?
 

To all TGP, MGP, and link list owners! In the interest of serving our partners better, Kenny B and I got into a debate/discussion about promotional content; how much to give out, and when?

Do you prefer a one month lump of galleries/free sites, a weekly update of a dozen or so, or a daily few? Do you like to be notified by e-mail/ICQ, or do you like to go get your galleries yourselves? What's your ideal way of getting your sponsors' galleries in your hands and on your sites?

I'd say that weekly newsletters would be best - daily newsletters seem to annoy me a bit & monthly newsletters would probably have way too much info in them.

I'd also not bother to list the link codes in the newsletter, as I think most people will go to the admin & grab the link codes based on the options that they need.

ICQ seems like it'd be annoying & I think that a lot of people would close the ICQ & then possibly forget about it (where an email is sitting in their inbox & they see it every time they look at their mail)

I agree with Greenie on the weekly newsletter.

Because I work on a weekly schedule monthly newsletters get lost so easily but short and simple weekly newsletters give me all the information I need at about the same pace I can use it.

I don't do much with galleries, but for the most part if I need something I go hunting myself.

I like weekly gallery updates, and if you know the pornstar in the gallery, please provide their names

yeah, you should make some weekly updates mate.... and try also to find some submitter that can help you in your traffic buddy.... :)

yeah, weekly newsseller suits me better cos monthly - there is too much info, daily-have no time to read

I don't need any updates. I don't need too many tools anyway, not using FHG's or anything too often, and when I need promo content, I head over to the sponsor and grab what I need there :)

I'd like them as soon as they are ready. And I'd dump promo content a day or two before FHG to give the people who are willing to host their own stuff a little advantage (and save you some bw). I'd take hourly updates if it was fesible.

You know what would be cool? To have a check box system for the newsletters where you select which updates you'd like to receive emails on - like:
New Sites
Hosted Galleries
Hosted Free Sites
Promo Content
Contests
etc......

That does sound like a good idea. Seems like an easy job to set up too.

Except I'd probably never use it. I'd just keep all programs on "spam me with everything!" and delete what I don't need anyway. |loony|

Once a week newsletter sounds good or even every other week. I like when my code is already there because I can grab and drop into whatever right then or leave it in my inbox until I can get to it. Its a reminder of sorts, at least for me. I forget crap way to easily. LOL
