Here is a couple I just made for my new BeachModel.com site.
Please critique.

BV - without any negativity intended - using large graphical pics on the warning page is about useless - especially with an ENTER button built into it that will cause some LLs to not list it.

Think simple when doing these sites - text it really what sells - with a little pic maybe to tease - I guess the best way to say this is think Sunday newspaper ads :) - Full of "get it right here now" text and little pics
Plus text not only sells - it gets better rankings in SEs than pics :)

No negativity taken Linkster, but sometimes you have to think outside the box.

Text sells but content also sells.

However I do agree with you that the warning page can have a little bit more real text rather than graphical text, I'll incorporate that in on the next one.

The main page and gallery pages have plenty of sales text though.

I don't see why a linklist owner would not list this HFS. It's got great content, looks good and the enter link at the bottom is no harder to find than the majority of other free sites out there with a jillion recips and banners on their warning page.

BV - the reason they wouldnt list it is because you have two Enter links on the warning page - which is specifically against most LLs rules

You mind if I split these posts off into a new thread in the Link List forum?

I think you'll get more replies over there & it won't get mixed in with the other stuff in this thread :)

Ah, ok. That's an easy fix.

Fixed:

BV - something just to check as Im pretty sure this is supposed to carry through - I just tried one of those links with my ccbill ref id for your program and it didnt carry through to the join page? Usually on the join page source there will be a "hidden name=ccbill_referer" with the refferral affiliate code - Im not even close to a coding expert for ccbill on hosted free sites - but maybe something isnt following all the way?

Chop Smith 2006-11-29 03:07 PM

Linkster, not sure if this was changed since your post but "http://refer.ccbill.com/cgi-bin/clicks.cgi?CA=932167-0000&PA=xxxxxx" is setting the cookie.

[BV] 2006-11-29 03:14 PM

Try it with a CCBill number and you will see it carries over fine: http://www.beachmodel.com/free_sites...ccbill=1352409

With xxxxxxx it will not.

Apparently it needs to be a "valid" affiliate number as well as I had checked it with some random number and that wasn't being passed either.

Actually it has to be a valid ccbill affiliate id for the site in question. (this is why you sign up)

ie: A valid CCBill aff id for sponsor A will not carry over on sponsor B.

Linkster 2006-11-29 05:20 PM

Thats true - and I did clear the cookie and then I used my BV cash ccbill id to try it and it did not carry over - unless there is some time limit on a hidden cookie somewhere that I cant find

Ah, there is your problem Linkster. It's always a good idea to NOT make up your own link codes and to just grab them from the admin area.
BeachModel.com is not under my BVCash affiliate program so that's why your code is not working and carrying over.

BeachModel.com is under my Beach Model Entertainment CCBill program. (see sig) Webmaster links are also on the tour. :D

It's strictly a "CCBill Only" site.

Cheers,
BV

You might want to remove BV Cash from the title please sir. These hosted free sites in question are actually from my new program BeachModel Ent. and not my other one BVCash.

Chop Smith 2006-11-29 11:09 PM

Okay, I am always looking for away to fuck someone so tell me about all this confusion. I was mislead by this post. That is to be suspected but apparently Greenguy and Linkster could not see thru the confusion and that is not suspected. Perhaps an affiliate could borrow Doc Holly's Crown Royal bag to select an ID.

Linkster 2006-11-30 12:16 AM

Well - I guess that would explain why the ccbill code wouldnt follow through - I made a bad assumption based on the thread title :)
