Would you list my freesite?
Ok, this is my first free site and I need some pointers.
http://www.pornworkshop.com/free01/keyword-keyword/ I have max two links in each recip max 3 sponsor links. no php or java. I have meta tags and title Do the directories look ok? is there something I need to change? Is it ok to have that "free01" directory? I will change the "keyword-keyword" to the name of the free site; sexy-ethnic-shemales.. Just noticed; do I need to change the alt desc for the outgoing links? How does my hub look? I know, it's not relly a hub but at least it's something. Just starting out with free sites. What are your tips on a hub? Should I get a LL up or what do I do? Any comments and critisim is appreciated! Also if you have a LL with a shemale/tranny category just tell me and I'll add you to my list. Thanks! |
Site looks OK, but all your text links are blind IMO. Should also probably fix your whois.
|
You need to put some sales text with your sponsor banners.
Overall the site looks good. I'd list it. |
No problem with the templates being different? Different headers and background etc?
|
I'll list it. But, please, use one design for all pages on your site.

That juicy shemale is a real hottie! |thumb
Fix the blink link and whois stuff, and I'd list your site on Eros. |thumb I agree with Japamor, a little extra flavor text above or below those banners can really help to get people over to the tour. In my experience, regular banners don't do nearly as well as a good, descriptive text link. As far as tempates are concerned: I like to see a cohesive concept tying it all together. The art of freesite is crafting one complete mini-site. About the hub: you need more. More content, more links, more flavor... whatever... just more. But that's okay. Every time you build a freesite, or find a good program to promote, you now have more to add to your hub. ;) Also, when you put two links to your hub on your warning page, and no sponsor link, you're missing out on valuable warning page sales. At the very least, add a sponsor link. Seriously consider putting up two sponsor links and drop one hub link. Two hub links, one right on top of the other, is redundant anyway. And be careful sticking them in the recip table - it's probably not a safe practice... and you'll get more attention to it if you put it somewhere else. |
thanks virgohippy, I'll fix it asap.
by the blink link I suppose you mean the gif recip link? Dunno why I got my whois info like that, but I'll fix it. I could put a sponsor link but some LL don't like that so I thought better safe than sorry. I'll definitely move my hub link under the enter/leave buttons and try to make the most of the hub itself. Any recommendations on a good script to use for the hub page? Or should I just make a .html site and update it manually each time I submit a site.. thanks guys |

It's the text links on your gallery pages. There's no indication on the page that they lead to a paysite, let alone which one. |sad| Quote:

Fix the blind gallery links like virgohippy said and I would gladly list them sweet looking shemales at EroticToNaughty
virgohippy is also completely right about warning page sales! |
Ok, I feel really stupid asking this but what should I do with my text links to fix the blind thing?
(I have fixed the other things, just not uploaded the files) |
Change this:
These shemales will do anything for cash - CLICK HERE!!! To this (or something similar): These shemales will do anything for cash - CLICK HERE to visit Paysite.com!!! Just make it clear to the surfer that they are leaving your site, and it doesn't hurt to include a reference to the paysite either. |

Thanks. How about adding a small sized text under the text link with the paysite URL? kinda like this: These shemales will do anything for cash - CLICK HERE!! www.ShemalesForCash.com |
The whole idea is to make it obvious to the surfer that the link leads away from your site. Making the sponsorsite name tiny kind of defeats the purpose.
It doesn't have to be the complete URL linked, just make it so that even an idiot will understand that it's not just another page on your site. Example: More tasty trannies @ Shemales For Cash I've been telling people that as long as they include the paysite name they should be OK, but some people will use any opportunity to be sneaky. Consequently I've been getting a lot of submits with links of this type: SPERMSUCKING BITCHES in 36 px font right at the top of the index page, or CLICK TO WATCH SPERMSUCKING BITCHES with no supporting text. While "Spermsucking Bitches" may indeed be the name of a paysite, I don't know that, the surfer probably doesn't, and there's no context to indicate that it is. So I can't really give you any hard and fast, all-inclusive, definition of what a blind link is, but I know it when I see it. You might want to read this thread. A lot of good info there. Common sense also goes a long way. Anyway, I don't unerstand why people would want to disguise their links as something other than what they are. FREE NUDIE PICS might get a lot of clicks, but conversions will suck if it just leads to a regular paysite tour. |
I was just curious.....Are you on shared hosting or do you have a dedicated box?

I didnt get pass your index page, you should invest some time in making the recip tables look crisp. When you submit a site the first page people see is your index, the first people seeing it are those you are linking back to. As I say thats as far as I got, |thumb |
