I dont receiveing e-mails from GG&J board script and Link-o-rama!

Hello,

Maybe someone can help me to understand something.

I moved my domain jeremyporn.com to dedicated server at Servermatrix.com (dns are ns1.servermatrix.com and ns2..).
It is right now at IP 74.52.237.124.

From that moment I don't receiving e-mail notifications from GG&J board and also I dont not receiving e-mail after FS submission to Link-o-rama !

The strangest thing is that I'm receive other confirmation or notification emails. Only a few scripsts stopped sending me e-mails.

For example when I click retrieve password at GG&J forum, I see info that email was send, but I dont see any emails at my email account.

I had similliar situation when I had my sites at allmanaged.com. Then everything was ok at oxeo.com.

Is there some problem with using servermatrix.com nameservers ?

jeremy [at] jeremyporn [dot] com

Regards
Jeremy

Code:

Dec 26 19:24:24 colo50 postfix/smtp[15168]: EDB8016001D09: to=, relay=mail.jeremyporn.com[74.52.237.124], delay=3, status=bounced (host mail.jeremyporn.com[74.52.237.124] said: 550-Verification failed for 550-Previous (cached) callout verification failure 550 Sender verify failed (in reply to RCPT TO command))
As for mail from the board, turn off your reverse sender verification which appears to be failing for some reason, or whitelist colo50.mia.colo-cation.com. I would assume it is the same problem with link-o-rama as the actual machine that sends the mail is not the primary mx for emails.

Many thanks for answering cd34! :)

I dont know how tu turn off reverse sender verification , so I will write to support right now.

I use cPanel, becouse I'm not good at configuring server by myself :(

I will let you know what happend next :)

I'm afraid also about IPs that servermatrix gave me.

Is there some way to check that some IP is banned in google ?

For example AXSlinks script working on my new server can't check PR for other domains.

The current reverse record for mail.jeremyporn.com [74.52.237.124] resolves to:
7c.ed.344a.static.theplanet.com

Would you like the reverse DNS record set to mail.jeremyporn.com?
So, will it solve my problem ? :)

I don't believe that will make a difference.

What it looks like is happening is that your inbound mailer is doing verification based on the absolute sender rather than the envelope sender, and trying to determine if postmaster@colo50.mia.colo-cation.com is a valid address (which it isn't).

I would suspect the same issue on link-o-rama.com since they also send mail from natxxx.national-net.com -- which doesn't accept mail -- and all mail is filtered through a central MX.

Once you turn off that spam verification, you'll probably have no problem accepting mail from either of those.

In the meantime, I've made a note on our side to deal with this situation as I've not seen many places do RFC validation on inbound email.

jeremy your sites are getting thru to the linksites i review, so just wait and see, it are the holidays now, so keep in mind reviewers are human too:)

and the email problem is at your side, easy to find out, so check on your host and your own email set up:)

Thank you very much Stuveltje :) |thumb

Thank you very much cd34.

Thanks to you I found the solution and it was the "Use callouts to verify the existence of email senders." option |thumb

Thank you one more time :D
