multiple index question
I've searched and read the past topics on this and can't find an answer to my question but then again I am on cold medicine and generally dense anyway ;-) I am too the point where I can start submitting to multiple tables and plan to submit to 3x12 for now. What I would like to do is just create a new folder for each index page. Would there be any issue with the other pages only being in the first folder? Here is an example:
keyword-keyword/index.htm keyword_keyword/index.htm keywordkeyword/index.htm The 2nd page and gallery pages on the second two indexes would be under the keyword-keyword path...|huh |
I wouldn't have a problem with that.

Thanks for the reply Sheepguy... I know they don't like to see you skip down a directory so I guess this is OK. In the mood I am in today I say fuck 'em ;-) very nicely though... Seriously I am a semi-newb and I appreciate rules from good LLs and TGPs but WOW where does some of this shit come from!

I wouldn't have a problem with it either, even though I know of a couple lists that would. Seems to me it would be the better way for a submitter to submit and avoid a duplicate content penalty on their main/gallery pages. |goodidea

Why don't you put the thumbs, full images, movies in the main keyword folder?
For example domain.com/keyword/content/ Then have a clean index (no recips) main page, and gallery pages in that keyword folder. domain.com/keyword/ That page (actually full site) you can link to from your domain.com hub, other fake tgps, other hubs, and also submit to those that do not demand a recip such as the hun. Then create several sub-folders in that directory domain.com/keyword/keyword-optimized/ domain.com/keyword/keyword-optimized_differently/ etc. In these sub-folders you create separate sites, optimized slightly differently for seo, each one with a different recip table...but all pulling the content from the content folder one level up. You probably already have the recip images if you use them in a sub-folder in the domain root anyways. That way each freesite in the domain.com/keyword/keyword-optimized/, domain.com/keyword/keyword-optimized_differently/ etc. sub-folders are full sites as far as the html pages, but you only have to have one copy of the actual content online. |
Hey Preacher...would you mine sharing which ones have a problem with it that way? If I want to submit to em I could just make sure that they are on my first index. If you don't want to that's OK...I can trial and error it.
Meatpounder...I think your suggestion would probably be ideal but I'm trying to be a bit lazy ;-) Speaking of The HUN...just had my first listing yesterday :-) |
