The mouseover for your exit link does not go where it says it will.

If you plan on submitting to LL's that have a 1200 rule the pics are a little small.

And for what it's worth, you have at least 39 html errors for the dtd you partially declared.

I'm not sure what you mean by that."39 html errors for the dtd"?
|confused|

Also, regarding the 1200 rule. 1200 h + w, 1200 h, 1200 width?

Thanks

I wouldn't list that site. It's full of blind links and the title is too long per my link list rules (but that's probably unique to my link lists only).

What would the blind links be? The banners link to the site, all the others say click here.(except one for HILF Tracker-would that be considered blind since it doesn't say click here?)
I'm trying to get this right but am a little confused.
(building galleries seemed a lot easier)

Should the text not have a link?

ladydesigner 2006-12-29 08:50 AM

A good rule of thumb that I use when making text links for free sites is to use the pay site name or the url in the link. For example:

"Click Here to see more babes having sex at www.paysitenamehere.com" wouldn't be considered blind as opposed to
"Click Here to see more babes having sex".

Hope that helps. I haven't had enough coffee yet this morning and may not be making much sense. :)

You still have the hidden whois problem. I hate bugging you about it, but it really can cause you problems when it comes to submitting.

A couple of your recips are Lesbian. |huh

I have to agree with the errors LadyD stated. A free site's title should be 2-4 words. Some of your text links are blind - and I'm not a blind link Nazi by any means. I normally wouldn't have an issue with "Click here if you want to see what really goes on when the girls go wild on the camping trip" except for the fact that it's on the index before the Enter link.

The mouseover on your Exit link is for internet eraser, but it's linked to Google. "Click Here to See The Rest of Our Free Sites" - I couldn't find any free sites on that page.

Your full size pics are weighing in at 200-400kb each. Optimize those puppies down to below 100kb. You shouldn't have any problems creating full size images at 800x600 with a reasonable weight.

The paysite name is ridiculous. :D

So you like the site name, huh?

I guess the whois issue is in my head only, afterall the 2257 info has my name and office listed for all the world to see.I tried to change the registration yesterday but kept getting a wrong password error and got irratated and went on to something else. I'll get it done today I hope.

I used some of the lesbian links because there is a good deal of lesbian content on the site.
I mean what hiker doesn't like to fuck lesbians???|loony|

Anyway thank for the advise, I hope I don't sound to defensive.

The recips should reflect the content of the free site, not the target paysite.

No, not at all. Criticism always sucks, even when you ask for it.

dodger 2006-12-29 09:52 AM

Are there any issues I need to be aware of linking to avs sites?

MrYum 2006-12-29 11:18 AM

Adding to the already posted comments...

Here's a good thread about blind links and how to avoid them.

Avoiding blind links

Yea, the whois issue is going to cause problems with some reviewers...this one included.

Your site bg is pretty busy, though certainly not enough to decline the site in and of itself. Just be careful to keep your text visible when using busy backgrounds. It can make things very hard on the eyes.

Not sure what you mean by linking to AVS sites. Are you talking about using one or more of your 3 outbound links per page to link to an AVS site?

If so, I wouldn't have any problems with that providing the text link is clear that the link doesn't lead to 'more free' pics or something.

Other than the issues already mentioned, it's a pretty good first shot :)

DTD - DocType Declaration

My browser says there's 32 errors in your HTML. It's not something you'll get rejected for, but you really need to clean up your code so that the leading browsers will represent your pages equally and truthfully.

Maj. Stress 2006-12-29 03:27 PM

dodger,
Use the html validator at www.w3.org to see your errors. Not much you can do about sponsor codes producing an error but the rest should be easy to clean up.
is the correct dtd. You can read up on them at w3 also. :)

dodger 2006-12-29 03:57 PM

Thanks, I have been googleing doctype for the past hour.

dodger 2006-12-29 04:06 PM

Is this the problem with using Front Page?

I second notepad! Although I just ran a new free site through that html validator thing and have to say I was pretty shocked at the errors that came up! |shocking| So much for hand coding.

Maj. Stress 2006-12-29 10:42 PM

ladydesigner,
I use notetab. I can make my own snippets of code and just double click as I go to make a basic template. I still make a few mistakes from time to time but it helps keep them minimal. :)

Notetab is outstanding...one of my favorite tools |thumb

ladydesigner 2006-12-30 07:32 AM

Thanks for the tip on Notetab. I haven't heard of that but am going to go find a download and try it out. |thumb
