Sports 2007

Wow, what a game, Boise St beats Oklahoma on a 2 point conversion in the first over time with the “Statue of Liberty” play, what fucking balls it took to go for the win and not a tie.

Best game of 2006/2007 season.

that game was insane! best game in a long, long time in college ball... Hail to the Un-Defeated Kings of the Smurf Turf, the rest of the BCS games have a lot to live up to and it should make for some great football

Great to see LT get it, but I stick to my guns, should have been a tie.

Next year!

I agree.

I also think the "Gators" are going to beat OSU this Monday.

Who has seen the ending of regulation on the Stars/Oilers game last night?

Pretty unreal, for those who missed it, Dallas got the puck and faced an empty net and the Star was no more then 2' from an empty net with no one around... and he missed.|confused|

Oilers got the puck and score to tie the game with 2 seconds left. Stars still won, but that ending was just unreal.

So the trend isn’t broken with bowl wins in 2002*, 2003, 2004 and 2005?

0-6 vs. SEC foes. Make that 0-7 if you count 1978 Sugar Bowl-Alabama 35, Ohio St. 6

Torn Rose 2007-01-05 10:13 PM

LOL... I guess I will pass you some |potleaf| , I didn’t even see the SEC connection.

Mr Exotic 2007-01-06 07:44 PM

Holy hell, guess getting Bob Sanders back made a big difference. I knew he would help the run D alot, but still, they were going up against Larry Johnson and just a couple weeks ago the Colts D made Ron Dayne look like Barry Sanders. Talk about a shocking performance by the Colts D. They keep that up and it may finally be their year.

oaeguide 2007-01-06 08:07 PM

the colts will be tough to beat this year.

Torn Rose 2007-01-06 11:20 PM

Wow, what a game in Seattle.

How nutty was the safety and then the missed FG?|crazy|

WHAT THE FUCK??????????????????

http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2733891

"The Indiana Pacers traded Al Harrington and Stephen Jackson to the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday for forwards Troy Murphy and Mike Dunleavy as part of an eight-player deal designed to shake up two struggling teams. The Pacers also sent guard Sarunas Jasikevicius and forward Josh Powell to the Warriors, who gave up forward Ike Diogu and guard Keith McLeod."

We fought to get Al Harrington who wanted to be a Pacer again, who actually plays in games hurt and actually makes a difference on the court and in the locker room only to trade him 2 months later for no one and we keep the whiny ass Jermain Oneal who wants traded, that no one wants in the locker room and has missed 5+ games already this year over pussy ass injuries?????

Larry Bird and Donny Walsh REALLY dropped the ball on this one, worse fucking trade I have ever seen in the NBA.

Worse than Kobe Bryant for Vlade Divac?

Torn Rose 2007-01-17 04:26 PM

I liked Vlade lol. He was a good player and yes, I was for that trade, if not for Shaq I do not think Kobe would have won titles.

And Vlade was a starter, from what I have read none of the GS players were starters, all have bad attitudes, and even the GS fans booed them.

How bad is it when GS fans boo anyone?

Mr Exotic 2007-01-18 02:33 PM

Seems like a pretty bad trade, I cant believe they gave up Harrington after they had just got him back. Seems to me they were so desperate to get rid of Jackson they were willing to get screwed on talent. Same crap as last year with Artest. Hopefully the Pacers have learned not to get thug idiots for their best players because it has ended up costing them big.

From what I have seen of the Pacers this year and this trade, is that they are thinking they aint gonna end up going anywhere further than a 1st round playoff loss, so they started up their "image makeover". But from the sounds of it the GS players are just as bad. Maybe the Pacers see something in these players, and think that they were just getting the shaft from Nelson.

Torn Rose 2007-01-18 02:58 PM

I ran across this today:

"According to three NBA executives, the Pacers are now in talks to move Mike Dunleavy to the Clippers for dynamic swingman Corey Maggette. Indiana has been after Maggette since last season when they were looking to trade Ron Artest.
-- Akron Beacon Journal"

Dunleavy's real claim to fame is who his daddy is, who is currently the head coach of the Clippers, and I have read many times for the past year that the Clippers really want Dunleavy JR to play for the Clippers, why I don't know as he hasn’t done anything outside college ball.

If this is the real reason for the trade I still think they gave up too much in talent and way way too much in salary cap as they have 4 players making way way way more then they should.
