Problem with submits on several big LL...

Hi!

I'v got a problem with submitting in a several big LL's... Well, when im trying to submit my free site submission form loads fine, im enter all fields required and click "Submit" button... and getting "time out error" in my browser after 3-4 min. :(
I'v tried different ISP's, internet browsers and ever computers, but the result was same again.
Usually im submitting in about 300 LL's, but only this ones give me such error: pornoplentyxxxlinks.com, smutgremlins.com, link-o-rama.com, adultgatekeeper.com, pornlinksdirectory.com, smutrat.com, liquisexxx.com. Strange.
I'v found similar topic on this forum, but it's from 06-06-2006 (http://greenguysboard.com/board/showthread.php?t=32023), so i'v create new one, maybe something changed from that time... Please advise me what to do (change hosting? right now im on fedora-hosting.com and my domain name registered at directnic.com).

Thanks.

Might try changing hosting :)

jonnydoe 2007-01-08 12:10 PM

300 LLs...wow. Are you autosubmitting?

dreamkot 2007-01-08 01:11 PM

Linkster: It seems problem in hosting, cause i'v talked with guy with the same problem. He said me that there are something with IIS/nginx ("keep-alive" thing) and by default it turns off. I'll msg hosting support, i hope they will fix it :)

jonnydoe: Yes, i'v got database in submitter, but sibmit in manual mode, submitter just filling forms, i'v checked all and press OK :) I'm remeber how 2 years ago im submitting to about 200-250 tgp's opening submit-pages just in browser and fills all by hands... that was really hard ;) Now it takes much less time for submit with submitter and it more comfortable for me have database in it, not in just .txt file ;)

Linkster 2007-01-08 01:38 PM

dreamkot- the reason I said the hosting is because most of the larger linklists have it on their ban list if I remember correctly

Xeno 2007-01-08 06:45 PM

My guess was hosting....and if you change hosts, make sure its always linux based and not windows. Good luck though, hope all is solved so you can keep submitting to 300 LL's....damn thats a lot.

Holg 2007-01-09 06:49 AM

jonnydoe hmm.. it seems to be you cant imagine several peoples seating back to back and doing submit job from 1 ip in a few hundreds of ll's? it's not too hard to organize if the goals and objectives are clear :) well why only autosubmitting then? this progs are helpful but only human brain could take account of all details which are so important in our job...

Holg - I know I can imagine it - I see the submits from these groups every day - and I add them to the blacklist as fast as they submit |jester|

dreamkot - I know you dont accept the answer Im trying to hint at here - but get a fucking clue - the host you are using is on the blacklist of many larger link lists - I hope I made that as simple as I could - some of the smaller linklists may still allow submits but you are not going to get listed at the larger ones with it

Holg 2007-01-09 08:00 AM

Linkster hmm.. did u ban people couse they're submitting to much more LLs then needed? We dont talk about multisubmit here, when several sites submitted to LL at once. How could u get the number of anybody's free site submissions calculated? Which number of submissions is enough for you? I submitted my fhs ONCE in 50 LLs. Is it reason to ban me? then what? 100? 200? :) is it in your rules? "If you're submitting in more then XXX LLs you get banned!" :)

Linkster 2007-01-09 08:03 AM

Holg - not the number of LLs that you submit to - the number of people that are doing the submits - there are groups of people that work together (from the same IP) to submit 4 or 5 sites a day - and most larger link lists have a rule against "groups of wms" submitting

Holg 2007-01-09 08:33 AM

Linkster Ahh. Ok. But I dont imagine how to get that clear to LL owner? 1 fhs from 1 ip/domain every day. How could I deсide what this is different people? Except they're with different cookies and browser or regional settings etc.. I think we're talking 'bout more smart people than a group of newbies...

btw, which number of hand-submitted fs is ok? I mean the max quantity of submissions one man is able to do at a day. Its just 'couse with some software which allows to autocomplete (just complete, not submit) some areas at a form (or using ctrl+c/ctrl+v instead of typing, multi-clipboard addons etc) the total quantity will not be much less than 3 hundreds for 10-12 hours.. Of course, if the internet connection is rapidly/stable ;)

dreamkot 2007-01-09 08:44 AM

Linkster: Well, im not argue, but im just starting submitting, im new in LL stuff and still looking how things goin'... probably i'll change hosting soon, because you're conceptually right, serious posters must use serious host :) but i need time to see how much b/w i need, collect good LL database and etc...
And what about fedora-hosting -- im just check out some forums and find nothing bad about it + there are good price for me, as a newbie, and i decided to buy hosting there for an initial stage. What's all :)

jonnydoe 2007-01-09 08:50 AM

It is beyond me why you would want to submit to 300 LLs in the first place...

dreamkot 2007-01-09 09:02 AM

jonnydoe: Your question for me? Well, im just collect database of ALL LL's that i'v found in net and now submitting to them and see how much traffic they gives, select good ones, drop bad one... it's something like a "test period" :) to collect really good database, so, on first time there are really big database, when you don't know good or bad ll site is... and I hope through about month i'll have good database of good, "tested" sites :)

jonnydoe 2007-01-09 09:07 AM

You'll throw away 9 out of 10...

japamor 2007-01-09 09:10 AM

dreamknot, it seems you're wasting a lot of time subbing to 300 LL's. And its going to take you years to weed out the good from the bad by 'testing' them. Don't forget some well established LL's have long waiting lists so it could be months before you see a result with some of them. :)

dreamkot 2007-01-09 09:43 AM

japamor: Well, maybe you're right...someone submit in top 50 ll, someones in 300 :) Everyone selects it's way/type of posting ;)

Anyway, thank guys for your opinion, im appreciate it :)

This whole thread makes me very dissolute feel.

MrMaryLou 2007-01-09 09:53 AM

MMMM 300 Link lists and I guess you read the rules for every site too right?

dreamkot 2007-01-09 10:16 AM

MrMaryLou: Rules 're almost same at every site :)

dreamkot, that's mine...I'm aware of the problem, I know some other submitters of mine have had the same kind of error. What's the domain you're submitting from?

Ponygirl

dreamkot 2007-01-09 11:07 AM

Problem already solved guys, thanks :)

Linkster 2007-01-09 11:46 AM

Glad you got this solved - that IP block youre on has a lot of multi-submitters on it from stella at yoursexnow to vica at bestsexinc to silvia at sexlovehouse and more - thats the reason alot of LLs wont accept submits from that host

dreamkot 2007-01-09 11:57 AM

Linkster: i see... :(

Btw, Linkster, what host you could advise? I see you're on Colo-Cation... and there are good prices :) Is there anything else good hosting companies with such kind of prices?

Linkster 2007-01-09 12:11 PM

I use colo because the owner is a friend and posts here regularly (cd34) - and they were the only host I could find that knew how to configure Tux correctly (which is a huge boost in server response speed for my sites)
There are many others that people use around here - but to be honest Ive never really looked other that I also have some of my hosting with M3
