Did Google just go insane on PPC?
 

I was trying to setup a new PPC campaign tonight, and almost ended up puking all over my keyboard. |drunk| |barf|

After building a keyword list, I come back to the Ad Group screen, and every f_____ng keyword is requiring $10.00-40.00 minimum PPC. |fuckyou|

Now I'm hoping this is just a display glitch from when they were shutdown for maintenance Saturday afternoon. I've spent enough time trying to explain to them that I ain't going to be paying them 40-50¢ minimum PPC when there aren't even any ads running under the keyword set.|bullshit| |banghead|

Anybody else heard anything?

They pulled that on me late last summer and I turned em off. I made money without em before so they can piss off.

They have gotten very strange since going public. I am with Maj. Stress on this as well. I had finally set myself up to where I was making money with it and then theystarted jacking up keyword prices to rediculous amounts for stuff with ctr of 8 to 16%.

I now only have 1 very small ad running which I will be canceling very soon cause its just not breaking even anymore.

Would have made far more money buying google stock last year than spending it on ad campaigns. LOL

The 10-20¢ keywords I can still make money with. It looks like they shifted a couple of decimals to get to the $10-20 level.

Also the ads apparently are still running, even though they say inactive. I just can't do the more detailed CPC bidding.

If they don't want to make money from porn, then shareholders looking for big revenues are likey to get pissed.

Google is pretty picky with adwords for the last 6-8 months, and just when everything gets working they tend to change the rules again. And of course they wont tell you specificaly what the rules are.

It just comes with the territory when dealing with google.
