I need all the help I can get
 

Hey guys,
I have 2 months experience in being a webmaster, and I have no idea what I am doing. Just fakin it till I make it. I need some constructive criticism on my site. If ya'll could take a look at it I would appreciate any feedback. Any ideas on getting traffic?

The site looks like pretty much every other thumb TGP out there (which is neither bad nor good)

What are you doing to get traffic to it? Do you list galleries that other webmaster's submit?

I posted some vids on Daily Motion, and I got a gallery listed on the hun which put a ton of traffic through the past two days, other than that, I have tried some traffic trades but up until the past few days, I am only getting 100-150 uniques a day. The past two days, about 90,000 uniques to the gallery and some spillover to the main site. Any suggestions?

Post over in Link & Traffic Trades & see if you can't make some trades with similar sites.

The first piece of advice you should have been given on starting out in this biz is to never ever no matter what ever copy someone elses site - especially leaving in the "copied from url ......" statement at the top

and how do one exactly copy a site- im new as well - if i make a layout out on dreamweaver in goodfaith , and it happens to be similar to another webmaster layout? is that what you mean? or do you mean just jacking the source - color schemes ect? Thanks.

Sheeesh! Even when I was starting out in this business many, many moons ago, I NEVER copied/stole/hijacked/whatever, anyones site. Sure I did research and looked at as much porn as I could to see what I wanted to do and what I could learn but you just don't steal someone else's work. |banghead|

Good catch UW. Why is it that the cheaters ALWAYS seem to screw up some little thing that gets them busted instantly?
