What Counter To Use ?
 

Please give me your opinion on what counter to use for my LL :)

Well I use Paycounter at the moment, but I see that many newbie-surfers(I guess) are clicking on it. I have been thinking of just using the serverstats, but I would like to see how much Google traffic I recieve in each category... I spend a lot of time getting traffic from Google now, but my backlinks aren´t spidered yet, so I guess I will just have to wait and see....
I have heard of sextracker without image and still free...What is the catch with it ??? If anyone uses it...!

well, I'm using Paycounter on my gallys since day one.... I'm very used to heir stats, and can find everything that might interest me about the traffic.... but lately they often show me no data in referrers section.... so, I'm not sure I'd recomand them with all my heart!...

Heard lots of good things about this one, but I am yet to get off my ass and install it. I guess I'll have to do it, eventually...

I just started using porngraph.com and I love it so far. It's invisible and seems to line up pretty close to my server stats AND I like all the settings it has too......

whoa! I like this pornograph.com thing ... anyone has some bad news about it?

do you think brownie and similar scripts will accept it on galleries?

The bad news is that its inaccuracy grows with the amount of traffic. I had a site at 140K/day, according to my TM3, and porngraph was counting about 75K of it.

oh shit! ... guess I should forget about putting it on my gallys than? ... damn! damn! damn! ...

There is alot of great things about Porngraph...just a shame they dont work!!

The "Referrers Stats" work realy shitty fore me.

so every time i want to see my stats i have to download my log file... ?Is there any other way to see the stats whitout download the log file?

www.masterstats.com is a decent external counter. AWStats is real nice though, just keep an eye on those log files :)

I used third-party stats a lot when I only had a few sites, and they served me well. Once you get a lot of sites up you get into a catch 22 - most server stats don't really show you the detail you want, and it takes too much effort to check all the third-party counters you end up running. If you're doing TPG or free sites, there comes a point when you're best off examining trends, rather than individual sites.

just found out about it the other day... it's invisible and you have the option of using it with out java script... when I use other counters on my galleries some tgps don't except because of the java script...

Try Wusage server stats. They're the best I've seen for under $1,000 and possibly better. http://www.boutell.com/wusage/

Whoever provides a counter service needs to make money. That means they're making money on traffic that you generate. Why give that money away?

I love Wusage stats. I use it on two of my servers. It allows you to drill down from a specific page to see the referral stats. In other words if you do TGP submissions you can see the referral stats for each separate gallery. The free stat packages give you the referral stats for an entire domain but they don't break it down by individual pages. I recently put a new server online that is a cpanel server. I was told by my host that Wusage can't be used on a Cpanel server because of the way a cpanel server is set up. If I can't find a stats package for cpanal that has the same functionality as Wusage I'll probably reformat the server and take cpanel off. I find the stats packages that come with cpanel to be pretty worthless as to the details I require.

I used to use the Level 10 counter on my free sites before counters were outlawed. It has shitloads of stats, which all get archived. This is something you install in the root of your domains then just add the java code to the pages you want tracked. I hated giving that counter up, but I feel more free now that I hardly ever check stats all.

I'd check with Tom from Boutell before I reformatted my server. He takes a lot of pride in Wusage and odds are he can make it work
