legitimate use of dialers at a LL
 

Since I have a fair amount of foreign traffic, and want to maximize revenue potentials from that traffic source...what would be the best way to implement dialers? I've been against the use of them since starting in this business, but lately I've been thinking that dialers wouldn't be such a bad thing for my foreign traffic coming in.

Do any of you guys think it would be a bad idea to include a category (at a link list) that has all sites with dialers...for those that don't have CC's (targeting foreign and even local visitors), to give them them the option of getting that porn fix that way? Or would that be looked upon as a bad way to introduce dialers? To my knowledge so far...I haven't seen any categorys at other LL that offer just sites with dialers for that purpose.

I'm trying to maintain a clean LL without any dialers, so as not to lose any potential buyers or return visitors, but still want to be as diverse as possible.

Any thaughts on this idea?

What I do a little bit is throw the http://www.adultdialersolution.com/ codes in front of some of the links so that you only piss off a few people :)

I have to get with them this week anyway to see if there is a way to redirect all the smaller countries to a dialer via htaccess (I'm sick of pissing off the Aussies - LOL)

That has always been my issue - some dialers try to redirect even CANADA to a dialer rather than to a signup page, which is just not good for business. It is the same in the UK, where more and more people are on DSL hookups rather than phones, and most have credit cards now. It is silly to redirect people to dialers in those countries without options.

Perhaps we can all come up with a list of countries we don't care about, and would accept redirect on?

Thanks for the input guys. I have a few sponsors that have the dialer options, and hate the fact I'm missing out on some potential $$ useing those. But at the same time, I know how many surfers will just get pissed and either never return, click off the dialog box, call me a f***in jerk under their breath or...|angry|

I think the extra category might be an option. BUT, that brings to mind...would any of you guys reject a link list submited to you, seeing a dialer category in it?

I personaly don't want people submitting sites with dialers, but, useing a category to show an honest attempt to give surfers the option rather than a forced/unwanted d/load would be much better than the forced d/loads.
