Help the newbie webmaster, please!

Hi All,
I decided to take the leap and start a site! Actually, a tour for a paysite that I was building galleries for previously. I figure, start with something small to learn the ropes.

Tell me what you think erotic-amateur-pussy.com

I know it still needs work, but hey, we all gotta start somewhere.

Other than Pic Posts and banner exchanges, where do you all go to get traffic?

I'd welcome any advice, on the site or traffic generating ideas.

Thanks.

Well Grinch, I've tried a number of ideas and the only thing that ever worked for me was niches. When I tried to promote general porn, I got general traffic. Which got me traffic but little in revenue.

Now with a specialized niche, you can haunt specialized forums whose members are looking for something special. Before ya know it they're clicking on your affiliate banners...Do you follow?

Anyway, works for me...

Thanks Festeris, I do follow. Sounds like great advice

Nice I actually like the retro look of the website.

Thanks Revshare-Omar

Pic posts are probably going to be low quality traffic. Banner exchanges, depends on what you mean. If you mean services where you enter your banner in with many others and they rotate on all members sites, most people say those are lower quality traffic also. If you mean trading banners with another site, that could be good if the other site has traffic. Though most people trade text links rather than banners nowdays, banners can take up so much room. Maybe you already know this.

Thanks Ronnie- you're right about the low quality of pic post traffic. Actually, I didn't know text links were the way go go these days. Thanks for the info.

You built your own tour for a paysite that already has its own tour, and then linked to the paysite's join page? |huh

It's not unheard of, Hell when I started building freesites I remember a few people recommending exactly that when the sponsor tours sucked. Not that I ever did that mind you, I'm far too lazy.

Yes I did. The site owner is a friend of mine. I've got an affiliate account, and a chance to learn about designing and marketing a site. She gets more joins and I learn about the biz. Seems like win/win to me.

Thanks for checking out the site.
