Question-When your filling up a new blog with content
 

Should you turn pinging off if your bulking up a new blog with content, say 50 articles or something to fill it with content, then it will ping 50 times right? So should you turn off pinging when your entering in bulk content and then turn it off when you return to a post a day etc. type of thing?

Thanks johnny, thats my thread |shocking| I understand all that stuff there, but was just wondering when you are setting up a blog if you would temporarilly disable the pings whilst you put all the content in.

I suppose I will just leave it on and not worry about it. thanks

It would save you some time to turn off pings while posting. About other issues in your :) thread I'm still not sure.

I usually turn off auto pings completely and do it by hand.

I think your better off "bulking" your blog up a little slower. Post 50 articles but do it over a period of time, say 10 days. You don't have to worry about what to do with pings.

But thats just my opinion. If you want to do it all at once I don't think you'd have any problems pinging with each post. I know on my RSS feed blogs I've never turned pinging off and can't see that I've had a problem.

I think you'd be safer to turn them off, so you dont run the risk of getting banned. And ya, turn it back on when your back to daily. Or turn it back on for the last "bulk" post.
