is there something im missing?
I keep thinking there is something im missing as to getting traffic to come to my website. I have submitted to directories, and traded some hardlinks, but it doesnt seem like it is enough, and the sites i trade with on my traffic trade script never send me back nearly as much as i send them.
Is this normal? also, does anyone have any tips for me? You can pm me if you dont wish to say it in public. my website is defyit.net |
Thumbnail TGP is a tough site to kick off, extremely tough if you don't have traffic to throw at it yourself.
ok .. trade scripts are all about productivity (of cause), you are competing with your trade partners to be more productive than they are .. with low productivity you will have negative trade growth .. one of two things is happening, 1) surfers on your site are not clicking 2) surfers you send out are not clicking on trade partner sites. you want to tweak your site design until your site overall prod is 180%+, then you'll have a site thats set to grow. thumb TGP's take time to load, your first block of thumbs does not trade at all, and this is the top click zone .. you are loosing trading potential with this setup .. I suggest using the same skim on all thumb blocks, and let the script do its work. finally, their is very little SE food for google etc to read, I suggest some well placed se text disguised as advertising, alt tags on thumbs, etc will help tremendously. And a bit more in your < title > will give it a kick also hope this is useful for you :D |
reading what I posted and I left something important out ...
if you don't have the out script on all thumb blocks you are not counting all clicks in your trade script .. you are not counting all clicks from you traders .. it will look like awful productivity, but that may not be the case. you have to fix this asap, even if you choose p=0 |
Takes a long time to get a TGP off the ground without forcing traffic at it from either purchased sources as well as maybe you know someone that will force some of their traffic to it for free. Even then you have to hope that this traffic is going to click off to another website and be productive. Like others have already said you really are battling a game of productivity in terms of clicks. And it's hard to say how your site is performing when you have such a small sample of traffic. Later once you have around 10k people a day at least you really can get a better idea of when you make changes how that's either helping you or hurting you.
Like Wazdom has already mentioned you need to have every possible thing on your site when you start off resulting in a click inside your trade script. What you are also hoping for is bookmarkers cause those people are going to boost your site daily. They really give you that boost. Another thing might be to allow people to submit galleries with a recip to it so that you gain traffic that way as well. Cheers, B |
the reason i left it out of some of the blocks is because there seems to be a problem with it, it seems that it send out 100 percent of the traffic until i have gone to all trade partners(i only have a few) so i didnt want to send surfers away immediately on the first block, its only temporary until i figure out why it was sending so much.
Do you have any idea why? |

your right about the script sending out all clicks to trades on the out script ?! haven't seen a trade script with that problem in long time .. if the script isn't working with your site setup change scripts .. I like CjOverkill or ArrowTrader for the free scripts .. I'm using CjO atm with no problems.
Submit a gallery with recipt means that you take one of the recip table spots for defyit.net on galleries you submit to other TGPs . |
