devilthreads 2007-02-19 08:44 AM

What does this mean in their agreement?
"You are responsible for insuring that your web site conforms to all local, state, federal, and international laws. Further, you are responsible for insuring the legal copyright to any images, text, or other web site elements that are not provided by Go Daddy. If your web site includes GIF images and you are NOT using The Software, you must ensure that your GIF images are licensed with Unisys or were created with Unisys Authorized Software. Moving your web site off of the hosting servers is your responsibility. Go Daddy will not transfer or FTP your web site to another provider."

It looks like if you use any image that isn't licensed with Unisys or were created with Unisys Authorized Software, you can't use it.

Get out now while you still have a chance.
Look at their legal agreement. They can shut you down just because they feel like it.

I tried hosting stuff with them a while back and no adult sites were allowed... told to me a one of the support reps. And Jim is right.. they will shut you down and there is nothing you can do about it. I wouldnt continue if I were you.

Good Luck!

To tell you the truth, any adult host is better than hosting with godaddy.

what is unisys?

Tobbe 2007-02-20 08:57 AM

I would recommend www.webair.com or www.colo-cation.com ;)

You can say that again. I tried hosting one of my mainstream sites there... I needed something quick so I took it. That was almost as bad as my ipowerweb experience. I will never host with either again, ever!

There are many threads on this board about hosting, do a search. Make a list and contact them all. Just be sure to do your homework.

Good luck!

godaddy is the best ;)

Devilthumbs - I am assuming from some of your posts that you are new to this business. If so, and you use GoDaddy, do a search on this board and read a few threads about them.

I've been working with Comus for a few years now and the one host that has probably more comus sites on it than any other is Webair.

conny 2007-03-15 04:41 PM

Aim with isprime for years now, during that time server or sites have been never down. Except for upgrades. Isprime is expensive but support just rocks....
Just do a proper research before you buy.Look for sites who are hosted with your selection. Trace them from around the world and look how fast they are.
