easy way to check your stats

Do you guys use softwares like "Unified Stats" to check your stats ?

Is it safe to use such a software ? |huh

themonk 2007-02-21 05:11 AM

i dont know but some might have spywares...

DangerDave 2007-02-21 05:24 AM

Ignore the spamming idiot above.. he will be gone soon...

I look at unified stats when it was released and it looked fiddly and cumbersome..

You can't do better than StatsRemote - a piece of software I cannot live without, and it has worked faultlessly for years now.

I know of no security issues with US or StatsRemote.. As always it's what YOU do with the apssword that is most important.

I use Unified Stats daily and I like it. Very useful indeed, and as DangerDave says there are no security issues that I know of. The only problems that I am aware of is the updates aren't frequent enough, and it needs to support more sponsors. It's nice for free but you do always feel like you're missing a few things - probably because you are.

I haven't used Stats Remote yet but I will at some point. From what I've heard it's as good a DD says it is and definately worth trying.
:)

I'm also using Unified Stats and have no complaints about them.

The only thing with US is that since programs update their way of handeling stats like changing to NATS, offering more options (Revshare - no trial - popup free) and stuff like that US has a hard time keeping up with all the changes. So your stats may not always be shown 100% correct.

Yes, spamming idiot, he was talking about you.

By the way, others are talking about you too, and not a bit of it is any good.

other? heh where is that :|cry|

I guess I'm old fashioned because I built a stats page for myself many years ago and still use it daily. I simply link to the sponsors login page and add new sponsors as needed. Its worked like a charm for me. Is there an easier way? Probably but I like the control I have over my own page. :)

Big thumbs up for StatsRemote here |thumb

I've been using it since not long after it was released. Regular updates and solid performance throughout that time.

HowlingWulf 2007-02-21 01:54 PM

Another plug for Stats Remote I've used it for years now. Automatically updates my stats every 15 mins for every sponsor I use and I can see my daily/weekly/yearly etc conversions at a glance. When I make a new sale it plays the "Vegas baby, Vegas!" quote from Swingers. :) I can output the stats to an html page or csv or whatever. Very nice.

DJilla 2007-02-21 03:04 PM

I don't use them but I've always heard good things about it and it seems many of the "big guys" do like it as well. Only complaint I've heard was wanting more sponsors.

plateman 2007-02-21 04:06 PM

I use unified and have no problems with it, and its nice to hear that audio when you get a sale, plus if you have a lot of sponsors it saves a bunch of time checking them

Senator_x 2007-02-21 05:06 PM

StatsRemote is the industry standard. The always update and fix problems within a reasonable timeframe.

Greenguy 2007-02-21 05:13 PM

Do either break programs down by site? Allow you to choose what hit's total to report? (for those that give you more than 1 hit total - like 1st, 2nd, join, etc)

DangerDave 2007-02-21 05:28 PM

GG, I would imagine neither program is gonna do your stats work for you... :D

.. but SR does partial breakdown on some sponsors - like CCBill affiliate sites.

I don't think it was meant to be a replacement for looking at your true stats in an admin area.... which is why with SR you can open the admin of the program by clicking on the Programs name in the software.

As I have told you before... JUST GO AND GET IT!|banghead|
Try it for a month and see!! |thumb

I swear you will never look back...

If nothing else you can carry it on a flash/usb drive where ever you go and have access to every program you sell (and their stats)with the click of a link!

..AND.. most rewards schemes in the major programs have SR as an item... so ya don't even have to part with any hard-earned.

DD

(Geez I wish SR ran their affiliate program still :D )

Thanks for the good words everybody :)

For the people that haven't tried StatsRemote, here's a free pass:

http://www.statsremote.com/clients/d...emoteSetup.exe
User: 7daysfree
Pass: free7days

Will be valid until February 28.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Greenguy 2007-02-21 06:39 PM

DDaved - once I get back on my main PC, I will try it out - but I have a feeling it's not going to do what I want it to do, which is do my stats work for me :D

But then again, with the click of a button, I could get my totals & post them in AVN like a couple other people |couch|

Anyone know the answers to my questions as far as Unified Stats goes?

cockhungryhoes 2007-02-21 07:02 PM

Thanks for the info

nekrom 2007-02-21 07:26 PM

Another vote for st works fine for me np's (except on vista but they're working on it). I used us for a month or so when it first came out, but was too clunky for me to use.

Sadly the answers are no.....and no.

There's no choice of which hits you want reported, and no difference in the type of hits shown in the reports - it's just a "Sales" "Clicks" "Ratio" "Revenue" "$ per Click" report.
There's also no site by site breakdown with each sponsor. Only a choice between the programs each sponsor offers.

Also, Unified Stats actually prefers to count raw hits rather than unique hits whenever possible, which I find frustrating.

That free StatsRemote 7 day pass offered by J B is looking quite nice.
:)
