how important is it to have hardlinks?
and shoul di just trade harldinks with other mgp's or should i turn to directories?

Only hardlink with people you trust 100%. There are a lot of honest webmasters, but there are even more crooks who will screw you over.

what do you mean by screw me over, how could they screw me over with a hard link

1. Place it where it looks good but does not actually get many clicks.
2. Redirect your traffic to somewhere else and kill the page with your link on it.
3. I sure there is a (3), but at the moment I cannot remember what it was.

3. They could remove your link entirely in say, two weeks. If it's not someone you know and trust you'll be spending all your time checking to make sure all your links are still up....I think.|confused|

a simple hardlink script takes away these problems and allows you to manage the links well .. eg http://www.axscripts.com axslinks

the real focus of hardlink exchanges is not traffic, its search engine exposure, page rank building, etc. if you do it well the traffic from search engines will considerably out way traffic from the hardlink.

ecchi 2007-03-04 02:51 PM

Good idea, but remember some hardlinkers do not like you using a script.

should be fine .. its not a trading script, the out link is not filtered through script .. its a hardlink .. the script just manages the links and builds the output file.
