Interesting numbers
I would have thought some numbers much larger and some much smaller.

This seems to be a pretty broad statement. How can anyone possibly know this from internet data?

That's easy - work backwards:
1 every 39 minutes is 1.54 per hour or 36.92 per day or 13,476.92 per year.

Odds are there were 13,477 movies released last year :)

It says right on the page...

So, according to their numbers, 13,476.92 adult videos are created in the US. But, about 110 more are actually made and released?

The bias in that article comes out in these statistics:

Men admitting to accessing pornography at work 20%
US adults who regularly visit Internet pornography websites 40 million
Promise Keeper men who viewed pornography in last week 53%
Christians who said pornography is a major problem in the home 47%
Adults admitting to Internet sexual addiction 10%
Breakdown of male/female visitors to pornography sites 72% male - 28% female

Ah, the Promise Keepers and the Christians. They're the ones we have to be worried about.

And note the terms "addiction" "struggling" and "admitting".

These people also have no problem mixing up CP statistics with standard porn stats.

Interesting stats.. I wonder what methodology they used to measure this.

Why am I not surprised? I really don't think that Nielson, Ebrain, TGI or any of the other major companies that do these studies would 'dirty' their hands by studying porn statistics.

I'd be happy with only a small percentage of that...a couple of mil would probably get me by...

..and it's only going to get bigger. As computing gets cheaper and Internet access gets more widespread business opportunities will grow.
