Tables in Firefox
Hey guys need your help here. I build my sites with tables since I suck @ css but I'm having some serious trouble with Firefox while they work fine with IE7.
I build this freesite and it looks perfect but I UW (thanks man) pointed out to me that its pretty fucked up in Firefox. It seems that Firefox is just ignoring the table background colors. I wonder if anyone has an idea how to fix this since im pretty clueless. URL: http://www.20lesbianmovies.com/fs/perfect-lesbians/ Damn alternative browsers causing nothing but trouble |banghead| Any help is appreciated, Thomas |
Hi Tvduijn.
You're missing a hash (#) before the hex value for the table. Seems IE is okay with that but Firefox doesn't like it. :) |
Damn, thats one stupid mistake |bananna|
Well happy to hear thats all I was really getting pissed off :D Thanks Gary! |
Happy to help. It's easier to spot mistakes if I've made them loads of times myself.
:D |
Might also want to adjust your BODY tag attributes so that you don't have #000000 spec'd for everything in case all else fails in someone's browser. Black on black can be a little hard to read.

Here's a good tool to use for tracking down such errors...
http://validator.w3.org/ IE is much more forgiving of invalid HTML than most other browsers, so always best to check your work in both IE and FireFox. |
