Questions regarding outgoing links on free sites
 

I have so many questions, but these are a couple that I can remember at the moment.

When creating a free site and you have your max 3 outgoing links, I notice some people link every ad and text links to the same sponsor join page.

1) Is it better to link to all join pages or all to other sponsor related pages? Or a mixture of both?

2) Someone told me not to put ads on the warning page. What does the majority say?

3) Read somewhere that text headers and ads are better than image based ones. Not sure if I believe this but opinions are appreciated.

Here's my 2 cents for what it's worth:

I'm not following you on #1?

#2 - that's that's you biggest potential money maker. Skip that and you nay as well not even be submitting.

#3 - whatever you are best at. If you are good with graphics and poor with text go with images/banners. On the other hand if you are skilled at written motivation go with that and skip the images/banners. If you are proficient with both then some combo will work every time.

What I meant with question 1 is that when I was checking out galleries, I noticed that on the warning page, main page and both gallery pages that a lot of people had all the outgoing links pointing to the exact same sponsor join page. It had some thumbs on it but every link was to the exact same sponsor page.

I guess it would matter on what page your sending your traffic to eh? Wouldn't want to be sending traffic to a boring submit form to join their site but probably better to send to page with more content.

I'm still not sure what you are asking. But if you are a newb it would be best to have all of your out goings links to the same sponsor,

Or all to the same niche. Say it was a teen site for example. Use all out going links to either the same teen site of 3 teen sites. *Some LL's don't like linking to multiple sites on the same page*

If you use sponsor content then you really need to use your 3 links to them only.

IMHO.

Of those 3 links, should they send the surfer to the exact same page or should those 3 links be mixed up a bit.

Say

• Link 1 -> Sponsor gallery page
• Link 2 -> Sponsor join page
• Link 3 -> Another sponsor page

The reason for me qualifying my answer is because although I did build and submit daily for 10 years. Due to an increasingly aggressive medical problem I've had to slow down my submitting the last 10 months to almost nothing. Which is a long time in this biz. I can only speak to what has worked for me in the past. And what works at my LL.

Others owners can speak/type for themselves...good luck :)
