Do Sex Toys Sell?
 

Does anyone sell sex toys from their hub or link list? Is it worthwhile or should I stick with pushing pay site tours? What about dating sites? Any good? What else sells?

They don't sell well. In every situation in which I've advertised them, they've made only a tiny fraction of what a paysite link in the same advertising spot would have made.

They're a sideline. In some rare situations they'll make enough money to be worth pushing, but thats the exception, not the rule.

unless you have a site dedicated to sex toys or are pulling targeted sex toy traffic, it won't do you much good, at least in my experience. surfers on a LL are usually looking for porn not toys.

I have tried to sell them before but I found it very hard. I was considering a male only sex toy store but it never made it past consideration stage.

I sell my own sextoys, meaning that I have a sextoy shop of my own and I do all my own mailing, wholesale shopping etc... and it sells like nothing else.

...however, it only sells on SE/ppc/banner traffic from 'quality' sites.
I haven't been able to convert tgp/mgp traffic to it.

When I usually make around 0.30 per visitor from my usual sources, I make like 0.05 from tgp/mgp-type traffic.

Also, I've noticed that like 75% of the sales are womens toys

25% is plastic dolls and pocked pussies??!!!?? |shocking|

It's actually like 50% dildos and vibrators
10% are lubes, massage oils and other liquids
20% movies
10% mens toys (of which 50% are fleshlights)
the rest is misc stuff like clothes and novelty items

I'm doing good with fleshlight and adameve

If you have a good % of returning traffic then toys / store type things can sell well in a secondary / additional / alternative spot (eg a text link in your main navigation) - esp if the store that you're sending to has a templatable front end.

Think of it as adding value for the surfer rather than trying to sell them something.

I wouldn't use stores in a main ad spot.

Right, Fleshlights were doing well on top of a niche-specific page after clicking through the front page of my general tgp, but never really got clicks/conversions on the main page.

I promoted fleshlight on Google Ad Words a year or so ago. It suddenly stopped converting :-(

I did not have any success selling toys,|angry| I changed 2-3 programs but always happen the same shit.

I've neve been able to sell the toys. People on my sites want porn, not toys... I figure most of them can't get a piece of ass, so they dont need the toys...:)
