free sites' index page - hardcore or not?

Hi,

I read that you are not supposed to have hardcore graphics on your index/warning page. But I see many free sites using hardcore on their index page - and they get listed with no problem. For example - http://www.multi-xxx-access.com/cassidy_bnr/index.html - listed today at Penisbot (listed in the first 15 spots).

So, would it be a problem to get listed on the bigger Link Lists if I put hardcore graphics on the index/warning page?

i've never had a problem with it. Granted I don't put GRAPHIC images there, but some graphic ads I have on my warning pages are pretty graphic.

I really don't think about that, I prefer using creative text ads on my warning page

There is no universal rule for answering your question - but for simplicity just go with graphical and desciptive text - sells just as well and that way you don't have to worry about it differing from site to site.

Maybe I should better ask - Can you put hardcore images/banners (that's what I meant with "graphics") on your warning page? Like the header image on the free site above?

This is one of my pet peeves. |catfight|

There are, I think, two reasons why one wouldn't allow hardcore imagery on a free site's index page:

1. The list is owned by someone who didn't really understand the link list-free site game before he or she decided to open their own link list. This person had heard it rumored that hardcore isn't allowed on a free site's entrance, so he or she included that on their rule page.

2. The list owner is someone who, for whatever reason, believes that a free site's entrance page is of some great importance. Holy land. And though they own a link list with thousands of links out to these tiny porn sites, they don't want to link to porn. And they fear that children, or the easily offended, will stumble upon your free site's index in the SE result pages, apparently assuming that no other page from the free site will be indexed, and it will be their fault. Then, the FBI - or worse! - will bust down the door to their 1972 mobile home and drag them off to Federal [fuck me in that ass] Prison.

Hardcore imagery on your index/warning page is just fine.

While my sites don't have a rule in place, it's my opinion that a warning page is just that: a warning that adult content lies ahead.

There's plenty of ways to make teaser ads to place on your warning page that would allow you to push the paysite without showing hardcore content.

There's a thread around here somewhere that I think MadHatter started about hardcore on the warning page but I haven't figured out how to search for threads without getting 30 pages of non-relevant results. |confused| |cry| I remember several link list owners saying hardcore on the warning page is OK as long as the free site isn't the root domain. Some still have the rule in place forbidding hardcore on the warning page so you just have to read the rules. I still try and find banners that don't have any hardcore for the index page and if the sponsor doesn't have any I don't use any. Juicy text works just as well or better anyway. I usually use banners to add color to a page and as dividers to break up the page.

It's not easy to find softcore banners for hardcore sites. Hmmm....:D

Yes, text SELLS better, but banners catch the eye. Text tends not to. A banner mated with good text is the way to go (in my unvalidated opinion).

Love live fuck pics!
