Ragecash - what happened?
 

Their sites are still up but they've gone - along with the $75 they owe me!

Were they an offshoot of another company? I can't remember now. I'll can them too if it's the case.

Like you said, their site is up. They also posted on their message board just yesterday.

How do you know they are gone? I signed up but didn't start promoting yet.

What do you see when you click on http://www.ragecash.com ?

i see the same site as always. With login, sites, programs and more.

Maybe there is an issue between their site and your pc so you can't view it?

I even clicked the message board link http://bbs.ragecash.com/ and its up and shows recent messages.

Hmm. Not sure. I see the same old site and you guys see something else. Maybe I access a different something being on the west coast so i can see it?

Pretty weird. I even refreshed to make sure i wasn't gettign a cached view or something.

I check again and it still shows normal for me. Very odd.

Perhaps they just forgot to renew the domain... ?
Perhaps directnic's 90/60/30 day domain expiry email warnings ended up in their spam folder... ?

Even if the company was closing down they would at least spend the $15 to renew and utilize the traffic from the domain in some way.

When i clicked it earlier I got the normal ragecash page, now i get the domain expired page.

I agree that the domain has expired and probably due to someone not paying attention .. however what concerns me is the fact their 2257 link and their customer service link all points to ragecash.com - what if a surfer clicks those links? think they will have trust in that site to sign up?

Cant check stats obviously so we dont even know if signups are being counted.

We called the number listed on whois for them and there was no reply other than voicemail (it is Sunday and very early in Fla) but left a message informing them their domain is expired. I also ICQ'd the contact number I have and no reply there either.

At any rate I pulled their links until I see the domain back up -

Everything looks good from here. Stats are up and counting clicks as of today. My guess is that it's just a (rather embarrassing) oversight.

eman, I think Rage Cash is owned by the same people as Extreme Paychecks.

Their pay sites are up though. Only mention on their/extreme paychecks board is someone asking about it. No response on it yet.

It sucks that this happened. And like FSC, I don't get it. But, knowing John, I wouldn't worry about anyone leaving with money owed. It has to be just a screw up and he will take care of it.

MML pointed that out to me - I didn't think much of it because it's the weekend & I'm sure they'll have things resolved tomorrow.

I agree. John has never been the kind of person to screw anyone out of money. I think things will be worked out.

I'm just trying to figure out why the fuck i still see the site and everyone else see's a domain parking page. Even after ctrl and refreshing and rebooting?

I think they've fixed the domain issue... just needs a little time to propogate.

oldbrad - could be because your ISP caches the pages?

Probably being that i'm the only one to still see it. I logged all the way through and got codes and everything. Comcast wouldn't surprise me if it was cached.

Hopefully it's up again soon.
