When I click the link I get a 404, and while I am signed up with a quite a few programs I haven't signed up for any new ones in at least a week.

What would be the point of spamming like this? I could see that if the url worked they might catch a few, but it doesn't make a lot of sense to send people to a 404

They could be trolling for valid email addresses. ;)

I got an email from nastydollars on an email address I only use for one of my domain registrars.
They found one of my domains (a hub) and noticed I wasn't advertising their Fling site so they decided to send me some spammy email. Way to go ND :(

I don't like the ones where sponsors e-mail you like your already an affiliate for their program. Or they use whois data to spam you. If you really visited my site you would'nt be e-mailing me with a whois e-mail contact.

Oddly the spam I have been getting lately is like all mortgages. Always have gotten them, but last week or so, it's like thats all the spam.

It's better to get spammed to your whois email address than regular mail from some registrar. We did a little experiment once where my last name was Porn and my first was Free. It only took a few looks from the mail man before I changed it back :)
