Saying hello and a request for a little help

First of, Hey everyone, been a long time since i was around here, a good few years at least, so basically I class myself as an oldie newbie if that makes sense, I left the net biz for one reason or another, but now decided to give it another go, and im embarrased to say that in the time i was doing net stuff, i still never learned HTML, which brings me to my request for help, basically ive set up a MGP, and as many people do, i dont like popups and so ive not used one, but somehow my site is generating one, and for the life of me i cant find where its coming from, so i was hoping that maybe some of you have heard of any html checking software that could scan my page and pinpoint whats causing the popup so it can be removed.

any advice would be more than welcome and thanks in advance

Post a link to the site & maybe someone can see what's causing it.

didnt want to put the site in straight away incase it was classed as spam, its sex-for-all.com

and cheers for answering

I'd bet it's one of the iframes & since it popped a little down the page, I'd guess it's the 2nd one from HPIC.

Take that off the page & see if the pop-up goes away.

(iframes have pros & cons - I really have to trust a sponsor to use them)

I don't know why you PM'd me about this rather than simply replying here, but here's the answer:
You have several counters, each creating at least one cookie, and all those iframes appear to be creating cookies as well. So anyone entering your site gets pounded with tracking cookies from several domains for no good reason.

Asking questions doesn't make anyone sound dumb. It makes a person sound like they want to learn something they don't know about. |thumb The only dumb question is the one not asked.

Just like the description of this forum says, The Only Stupid Question is the Question Not Asked :)

UW - how could you tell that you were bombarded by cookies?

I could smell them as they came fresh out of the oven.

I was trying to see what pop-up he was talking about - which I never did see - and I have IE set to ask me whether I want to accept or deny cookies. I sat there clicking "Block Cookie" over and over again. Only one cookie there today though. ;) Much improved.

My pop-up blocker went off the 1st time I visited the site, but I could not get it to go off again no matter how many times I reloaded it (I was trying to see what the URL of the pop-up was)
