Question About Mouseovers

I just scanned the rules of 45 link lists I submit to (mostly people here on the board) and not one mentioned in their rules anything about mouseovers. I used to see every now and then that mouseovers were allowed to hide your ref code but the ultimate destination must not be hidden. I know of one link list, that I don't submit to, that says you have to have the full URL including the http. I copy and paste so much building sites that sometimes my mouseovers have the http and sometimes they don't. Does it matter to anyone if the http is there?

I doesn't matter to me. As long as the sponsor url is visible in the mouseover, I'm happy. Back in the day people would use stuff like "Click Here for XXX" or something smilier in the mouseover. As long as you're not doing that, you should be fine. I submit a lot of free sites and always use mouseovers on sponsor url's. I do include the http://www. though.

I don't know, it's just something I've been doing for a long time. It just think it looks neater to have www.adorablelegs.com displayed rather than http://www.adorablelegs.com/t2/cfree=trey4u/

I used to use mouseovers on and off.

I completely killed their use when IE7 became the default browser for WinXP, because it doesn't display mouseover codes, as FireFox won't in the default set-up.

I didn't notice any difference in ctr.

Well I'll be damned. I thought something was screwey with my computer because mouseovers don't appear on text links but they do on banners. I guess Windows is just fucked up.
