any LL that do not allow 15 recip buttons?

Ok I want to expand my recip table from 12 to 15 recip buttons. Is there any LL that could say - its too many ?
I think 12-15 is good number but want to make sure..

Thanks

I don't know of any. I submit to around 50 sites and nobody has complained so far.

They are not all on the same page are they?

I think he's asking if its cool to add more recips per page, not per site. Me, I have 4 rows with 4 recips per row. 16 is my max though that I think looks good without being too much.

I could be wrong though

I think 4x4 button recips is about the max before it gets too cluttered. If you use text recips you could use more as its much more ordered.

no, I meant total. On some groups I have 12 and some 15.

ok all is cool then
thanks

I don't have a problem with 15 recips per site if it looks decent. I myself use 20 custom text recips per page on my own free sites. Haven't had a problem so far.

PHEW! LOL. I was thinking that I had been missing out all this time on using bigger recip tables!

I get listed about 97% of the time using a 20 link table. It's all in how you display it. I use text links as opposed to buttons though which make a huge difference.

Same here - 12-20 recips, all text. Almost always accepted.

So what you two saying is that using text recips increase chances of listing?

japamor 2007-06-26 03:00 PM

Text recips don't automatically increase your chances but they do help. They give the page a uniform look whereas buttons can look messy. Also you can fit more recips in the space. That's why 20 text recips works but 20 button recips looks over the top.

If you go from 12 to 15 you might want to consider using text link recips. I will look much cleaner and its also easier to fit text than all the different sized buttons. I actually prefer text over buttons.

This has no bearing on acceptance rate at all. LL owners make recips for you to use them, why would they reward you for making your own? Original or custom, I don't care as long as it looks neat. I hardly ever decline a site solely on the grounds of a crappy looking recip table, but it happens. If your CSS messes up the table and/or your color scheme results in near-invisible text you need to do some tinkering. Over 20 recips I think it starts to look like a link farm, no matter how well it's done.
