Anyone attending Live Earth anywhere in the world?
I wish I was... Looks as though it's going to be an event for the ages.

I hope it all goes down without any problems.
As of this moment, things are just getting started in Australia.

I suppose this has nothing to do with global warming but;
I'm an environmentalist, I've lived in the woods, I love the woods, and I hate the way they're disappearing. I'm also a member of a lot of groups trying to save the woods. And no I'm not an anti-gun or anti hunting Greenpeace type. I like to hunt, and I even support the seal harvest in Newfoundland.
What get's me though is how Bob Geldof keeps getting described in the press as a "rock star".
I mean, fuck, he was a one hit wonder at best, who's one hit was based on a totally commercial exploitation of a deranged 14 year old girl who shot up a schoolyard.
And now he's a frigging knight? Sir Bob? Gimme a break!
Some famous dude who's name I don't remember once said something like
"First they laugh at you, then they fight you, then they heap honours on your head, then you don't matter anymore."

He was excellent in the movie, "The Wall" :)
I started recording Live Earth but so far, I don't know any of the bands :) Must be getting too old.

Geldof's just jealous.

I'll be listening on XM as much as I can.

Well I caught Fergie, and the Black Eyed Peas. Starting to get a crush on that girl. It don't help that the cute blonde across the street that her brother keeps trying to set me up with is almost a twin.:D

Just caught Metallica, I'm pretty sure I've seen those redhead twins in some porn videos.|thumb

I am watching Roger Waters now :) Going to see him this Thursday with Greenie's father and step-monther :)

a bit OT but I'm going to see George Thorogood and Buddy Guy tonight as part of the Montreal Jazz Festival. I bet they'll perform well together.

I have to say that no one came close to matching the performance Roger Waters put on. I was especially pleased that he played Brain Damage

I saw a little bit of the brazil show with Pharrell. Between the crowd being silent and the fact the songs originally having several performers, yet only one actually there performing the parts, left alot to be desired.

I just hope the other shows were alot better.
