Free Site With Too Many Pictures
 

Is this possible?
For example, I submitted FS with 48 pics to a Lowry's LL and his reviewer declined my FS. Reason: Too many pics. Well me and Lowry worked that out and I gotta say that Lowry really is a nice guy and if you talk to him politely ... you will certainly get listed :D But I'm not here to kiss Lowry's ass :) ... so ... what would other LL owners say about that? Is more than let's say 40 pictures too much for a FS? What's the number of pictures that you would go with and what is certainly too much?

Would be better to do 2x 24 pic sites and receive twice as much traffic.

What is certainly too much is more than what is required to get listed at link lists.

It should be ovbious that giving away too much free porn is counter productive. Why give more than what's required to get listed at link lists? Make the surfer want more without giving it to him/her. If a link list requires 20 images, give 20. If they require 24, give 24. Why would you want to provide 48, 40, or even one more image than what is required? (I'm being serious, why would you want to give more?)

Well, I was thinking, if you are allowed 3 outgoing links per site - more galleries means more outgoing links. But on the other hand ... I was certainly giving away a bit too much pictures indeed. Was a small experiment, tho. I guess I'll just go with HarryMuff's advice ;)

In my opinion, it all depends on how the site is built. It'd be too many if you had 30 or 40 hardcore images but other than that I think it's just fine. I also disagree with "more images will reduce the chance of selling the surfer", I can build a site with 45 images and still give less nudity than some of the sites with 24 images and get a hell of better ratio than the smaller site. Lets say you are promoting sites like FTVCash or ATKCash, grab 15 images of 3 different models and choose only 2-4 full nude from each model with no spread shots at all. You are only giving away about 6-12 nude images, they are all teasers, showing the surfer different models they can see inside members' area, and you have exposed them to sponsor links 15 times.

I have made a few sites like that in the past, got accepted everywhere and to be honest with you I was extremely happy with the results. I would evaluate my traffic, clicks to sponsors and sales made from such sites, If I am happy with the result from the LLs who accepted the site, then I continue my way and just remove the link list that had problem with it from my submit list. My priority is not to make sure every single link list owner is happy (however I don't break any written rules), I work hard to make money and that's my top priority. I used to submit to everyone and their mothers a few years back, now I have a very small submit list but that list includes almost all major link lists and I thank them for putting up with me :D

I would have listed your site if I had a link list. Can you imagin rejecting a site for having 15 extra images while having 1000s of links with at least 20 images per site!.......Crazy!!

Interesting tihnking CrazySy. I like your idea. I guess it really all depends on which pictures you show. I reduced the pic # to about 30 now and I'll keep my eye on the ratio and clicks. Will see what will happen ... :) Any possible way that you could perhaps send me the list of LLs that you are submitting to? Hope I ain't asking for too much :)

Good points CrazySy, I think I'll try one with 45 or 60 and see how it goes. I almost always use 30 since that's the minimum for PK.

SheepGuy, I think you will have problem with 60 regardless of how you do it. I have never gone over 45 and I only have a very few with 30+. In my opinion, the best way to go for 60 or more would be a link on the last gallery of your site leading to a page with more models in TGP2 stayle galleries (pretty much like a tour but with more free teasers). One of my hubs looks like that and I will link to it from my freesites from time to time, that way the page is not part of your freesites and you can built it using your own rules and update it anytime you want :D

Seems to me, doing as HarryMuff said, making two instead of one would be better. You could have two sites listed instead of one, all things equal, twice the traffic. Having more images on one site, that is itself wouldn't bring any more traffic to one site. Having two sites, could be SEO'ed differently for each one, two chances at SE traffic. Also if done as most do, would be more pages, more pages equals more ads.

Just my thoughts.

While some link sites do have a hard and fast rule regarding quantity of content, many look at each site individually...instead of relying on cut and dried rules.

When I first saw this thread, my thought was - that's too many damn pics for a single free site. But after reading Sy's post, I had a new opinion. The man makes a damn fine point.

Ditto to Sy's post. Many have lost or forgot the art of teasing the surfer into buying using pictures. It has always sold better for me, even when I was doing hardcore pics :)
