New To Posting In LinkLists

Hello all...I'm going to go out on a limb here and ask a crazy question...I'm sure someone is going to point out an obvious answer I would've found had I looked harder, but here goes: I finished my first real free site that I think is decent enough to submit. So I went to submit to link-o-rama and the requirement is for at least five other recips on the warning page. So I looked for some other sites to submit to and that was kind of a struggle because not all of them are that obvious. So I went to recipbuilder.com which I've seen info posted about before and I registered and was given 6 recips, including link-o-rama, so I figured I would go ahead and submit to these other five sites too. Well, on site only accepts partners, the other site no longer accept submission, I had to read a bunch of stuff about two and submitted to them, and then the sixth had a submission problem with the cgi script. So what is the deal? Where do I find a decent list of of sites I can submit to, that are newbie friendly? This is the site I am submitting:

Thanks...

Hope greenie won't think this is spam ...
Check http://www.adult-list.com/cgi-bin/submit.cgi and scroll on the botom of the page to "For More Traffic You Can Submit Your Site To:" Check out the links and some of them will also have their friends listed. And also search forum - use advanced search and search only in this part of forum.
Hope it'll help you. Sometimes you just have to try out and see if the LL you are submiting to is good. I'm still building my top list :)

To be honest, one of the easiest ways to get places to submit to is to just read peoples sigs on this forum.

Otherwise, just to to Resources => Get Traffic from the menu below the header here.

Finding places to submit your sites to is easy, every Tom, Dick, Lemmy and their grandmothers have 2-3 linklists these days. Do what Porn Junkie said. Actually getting listed is another matter, and your chances of success will increase dramatically if you make your whois info public.

Just like Porn Junkie said, check the resource section of this forum and you'll find plenty of places you can submit to (that's where I got started for my subs and it was invaluable).
But after checking your site I think you have bigger problems to solve. I consider myself a newbie as well but even I can tell you that you won't get listed unless you make some major changes to your FS.

1) Read the submission rules before you submit!
2) Your title is too long (4 words is the max approved length for 99.9% of LLs).
3) No more than 3 outgoing links per page. This includes both banners and text, and if I can count I'd say there are 5 outgoing links on the index page.
4) I wouldn't send traffic to Google (believe me they've got plenty already!) so you might want to address your exit link to either a place that can make you some $ or take it out altoghether. If the surfer gets there by accident he/she will be able to press the back button and leave. The exit link is not a requirement unless specifically stated in the rules of the LL you're subbing to.
5) If I were you I would work on the Warning and expand on it quite a bit. Check out other FSs and you will see that people are much more thorough in their warnings.
6) Your pics should not exceed 80kb and after checking 2 of them in the first gallery I already found one that's above 80. Ditto for gallery 2.
7) Work on your text cause that's what entices the surfer more effectively.
7) Your keyword meta is way overfilled. You need to be more consistent and keep in mind that repeating the same word more than 3 times might get you rejected. You really don't need more than 10-15 words for your meta. Check out other FSs and see their HTML, you'll see what I'm talking about.

That's just from spending about 2 mins on your FS, so I'm sure there's more that needs addressing. The main and most important thing is that you need to read the rules for submits @ the LL you're subbing to; most of the problems I've pointed out wouldn't be there if you had read those rules.

You should post for help with a link to your FS in the newbies section of this forum, and a lot of much more knowledgeable people than I will be giving you input and advice to help you get your FS to the point where you'll actually get accepted.

You're still a ways away from getting listed, but ask for advice here @ GG&J and you'll get there in no time, there are some truly great people here!

Be well!|thumb

Also, once you have a good FS to submit, why limit yourself to six LL's? I only do one copy of each FS (with one recip table) but I try to submit to 12-18 LL's. They're not hard to find - either follow links on the submission pages of LL's you have, or browse around the board. Search for threads where people recommend LL's - they can be a goldmine. Eventually, you may build your own list of LL's to submit to, but you may want to cast a wider net to find out which ones work for you.

Thanks for the info...I'll give it a another once over and make some more changes and work on finding other lists.

What's the importance of a public whois info?

We're all running legit business's - there's no real need to hide into like this (plus it's always been one way multisubmitters thought they could get around LL rules)

It will take some time till you find your best LL`s, but start submitting and checking stats and after a few months you should have a complete list, but the updating never ends so keep your eyes open :)

Good info to know...that's my lack of experience...sounds pretty obvious after you point it out...not the part about the legit business, but the part about trying to get over with anonymous names...I will work on that and get my info public...thanks
