AVS temp password? Help!
Hello everyone-
recently some LLs like Cleos have asked for a temp AVS password and wont accept a backdoor entrance to the members area. I was wondering what I could do so I could set up a temp password as I dont want to give them my webmaster password 1. Should I just have to hunker down and pay for a password from my AVS system? Wouldnt multiple webmasters using it though cause my AVS company to inactivate it, hence defeating the purpose? 2. Is there a way with htaccess that I could add a password for them to access the members area? 3. Why are sites requiring a password and not allowing a backdoor link? I'm assuming this is to prevent submitters linking to a bogus content area, but I cant help being frustrated as I'm an honest webmaster and this makes this a bit more difficult :( I know AVS sites are dying, but Ive been having better success with them than free sites not to mention that I have to spend less time submitting them! ;) Any suggestions? please help! thanks! -romeo |
The reason some ask for a password is because we just dont have them all and as far as backdoor links they us to be ok before avs's started doing fpas and stuff :(

What AVS's are you using? I know that FNP will give you one to give them if you e-mail and request it.
Also ProAdult lets you create on that is just for that site. But Im sure most other AVS's will give you a seperate one if you request it. |
I do mostly UGAS sites but I've signed up for FNP and plan on building sites for them soon!

someone just sent me an email earlier today asking the same question about the same linklist.
As I told them, have them contact us and we will set them up. |
To quickly create a temp htaccess password you can use http://www.htmlbasix.com/passwordprotect.shtml too generate one.
