TRIAL PRICING

When you sign up with a sponsor do you look at the trial price? We are at $5.95 but I believe I should put it up to $9.95.

Do you skip sponsors with low trial prices?

i dont care about trial prices, if they all convert to full memberships i could care less about trials prices, its all about what it makes for me in the end

Part of the answer to your questions depends on whether the sponsor pays the affiliate for the trial signup and what amount the sponsor pays the affiliate for that trial signup.

The only time I don't absolutely hate trials is when I get a full PPS payout for a trial signup. Not many of those programs around these days.

To be honest most of the sites I promote don't even offer PPS, and trials on revshare is a waste of book keeping.

I agree with you on that |thumb

The best trial is $29.99 per month :) on revshare;)

nickbaauw 2007-07-26 09:50 PM

I truly believe it depends on the program
1$ trials - 30$ PPS console free works extremely well for us at NichedSites
Deecash its % From trial (2.95$) to month is on average above 70%

I truely believe its a outdated business model that relies on the surfer to forget so they can be rebilled.

29.95$ is the best

Roger MGC 2007-08-14 11:00 PM

thanks guys, we will try without the trials.

It depends. There is little more frustrating than getting a $1 trial signup where you know the person:

1. Has a credit card and is willing to use it.
2. Is interested in the content.

..... and then getting paid $0.50 for it after they cancel !!!

It is pretty much how everyone else has said about not liking trials on revshare. If the trial is $9.95 though, I can usually handle that. But $4.95 or $1 trials on revshare??? No way. Yes I'll skip a program over that.

For PPS any trial is of course fine as long as I am being paid the full rate for the trial. I do not like Pay per active schemes at all and would rather not have the trial in that case.

I generally pick the $9.95 trials on PPS, because with sponsors that offer tiered payouts it generally works out to an extra $10 for me. I generally only promote sites that I am sure will sell anyways, so the higher priced trial sells almost as well as the lower priced trials.

I prefer the full $29.95 non-trial on revshare sites, because like other folks have said the 60% of $4.95 works out to only about $3.00 or so. Some sponsors will still pop an exit console to try and capture a trial as a last resort though.

If you are promoting your own paysites and you know your members area content is quality then 2.95 trial will work very well for you better then a 9.95 trial but if your promoting a revshare sponsor with generic average members area content u should definitely skip the revshare with 2.95 trial.. ;)
