What's the best way to add junk to the sidebar on a Wordpress blog, like a section for blog directories, link trades, etc?

Difficult to answer because it's a bit vague and somewhat because it depends on your version of WP and the theme your using.

Adding links in the admin once you've set up your link categories is easiest for text links. Or just edit the sidebar.php manually for anything more advanced, banners etc.

This whole thing is a bit vague to me right now. I'm at the bottom of the learning curve staring up. |confused|
